The development of junior golfers is heavily reliant on appropriate instruction and proper group assignment. It is essential for a junior golfer to be properly classified. This will ensure their placement in the proper group based on skill level. This allows our coaches to guide players through the phases of development using an objective criteria and developmental mind-set. Scott Robbins Golf has developed Eagles Performance Academy to achieve these goals. It is broken into three hats and 8 distinct levels. Each hat represents the skill level that the junior has achieved. Each child progresses through benchmark testing. These benchmarks determine the hat color and level the child earn.

Level Description Learning

White Hat: Skills Performance

For the junior just starting the game. As they develop their skills, these juniors will participate in PGA Junior League Golf and NTPGA Team Golf. Group ratio is six juniors to one coach

Blue Hat: Playing Performance

Blue Hat will progress from Prep Tour to playing Medalist Tour events on the NTPGA Junior Golf Foundation. Group ratio is six juniors to one coach

Red Hat: Tournament Excellence Performance

Having become a winner on the NTPGA Junior Golf Foundation Medalist Tour, progression is to higher level tournament play and is proficient in knowledge of the game, rules, and play. These divisions are progressing to NTPGA All-American events and beyond. Group ratio is four (4) juniors to one (1) coach. Red 1(JV) is a winner of NTPGA Medalist events. Red 2 (Varsity) is a winner of NTPGA All- American events or higher level.
