This crusade against illiteracy and ignorance has now archivedepic proportion. The Sangha today runs 28 educational institutions in Bellary, Koppal and Davanagere districts,covering primary education to post graduation courses in Arts, Commerce, Science, Engineering andManagement. Major Strengths: Strict monitoring of classes engaged by faculty and completion of syllabus within the last working day.

LCD & OHPs facilities are provided to faculty in teaching.

I.A. Test will be conducted as per VTU norms systematically and students performance will be monitored

and intimated to parents periodically.

Placement and Training Cell is functioning with good track record. Special training are given to the

students in the area of interest and group discussions are conducted and training them to attend campus

interviews/interviews. During this academic year 133 (2008-09 academic year) students are placed in

MNCs.

Consultancy works are undertaken by the Institution in the departments namely Civil Engineering,

Mechanical Engineering, Instrumentation Technology, Computer Science and Engineering & Electrical &

Electronics Engineering.

Comparatively stability of the teaching staff is better.

Major Weakness:Finding difficulty in recruiting faculty at senior level particularly in ECE, CSE, ISE, IT and MCA & MBA

Nature and Extent of involvement of faculty and students in academic affairs/improvements Principal conduct s meeting of Deans, Heads of Departments and Sections once in every week.

All important administrative and academic matters are discussed and decisions are taken. All departments conduct their faculty meetings regularly for allotment of subjects and to discuss

other matters. Principal conducts faculty meeting twice in a year. Once in a month faculty development workshops are held in which one or two faculty members

present the papers of academic or administrative important topic and large number of facultymembers involve in the discussion.

Provision has been made to depute the faculty to attend workshop / seminar / conferences in anyplace in India, maximum financial assistance to a faculty members for attending such programsis Rs. 2000/- per annum. There is no such restriction if a faculty member attends the program forpresenting technical papers. Good number of faculty members make use of it.

Faculty members involve themselves seriously in monitoring attendance position and sessionaltest performance of students.

Involvement of faculty and students in conducting cultural activities, sports day and college dayis excellent.

Principal addresses students meet twice in a year and invites suggestions. Wardens visit hostels regularly and interact with the students. Principal visits the city hostels

whenever hostel problems are to be discussed with students and wardens. He visits campushostel quite often and interact with the students.

Placement and training officer regularly interacts with students to fill up their training programsand on campus / off campus interviews. He also makes arrangements for the transport and stay ofstudents for off campus interviews.

Every semester feedback is collected from the students about performance of the teachers.

The following meetings are held regularly for democratic/good governance. Principal, Deans and Heads of the departments/section incharge once in a week. Principal and faculty – twice in a semester. Principal and students – twice in a semester. Principal, wardens and students – whenever required. Wardens and students – regularly during daily visit of wardens. Placement and Training officer and students – whenever important decisions are to be taken. Students and faculty Members regularly interact with Heads of Department, Deans, Principal and

Chairman, Governing Council. Student Feedback on Institutional Governance / faculty performance

So far feed back was collected once in a semester in hard copies. Analysis was done facultyinformed about their performance. Appreciation letters given to those who score more than 90% andfaculty scoring less then 55% are informed to improve the teaching skills.

Now software is prepared and is tested with some cases in the odd semester of academic year2009-10. Hence analysis has become easy. It is decided to get feedback from students three times in asemester from the from the even semester of academic year2009-10 onwards.

Students feedback on institutional governance are being finalized this time and will beimplemented from even semester of 2009-2010.

Usually grievance of faculty, staff and students is attended by Management, Principal, Deans andH.O.D.’s.
