third is close relation to God/correct consistent condom
use, fourth is don’t use drug/don’t drink too much and last
is the early detection/educate yourself. At that time, they
presented a video about HIV/AIDS that they get from the
episode MMK. It was very interesting movie because there’s a
love behind the story. And they give a lesson to be learn,
that we should be faithful to our partner and we should not

Peer Education about Awareness on HIV and AIDS preventionsand control at Northwestern Visayan Colleges (NVC) High
School
We conducted our Peer Education Orientation at
Northwestern Visayan Colleges last January 8, 2015
(thursday) together with my co-classmates, Ms. Maybel Ti-ad
and Mr. Alvin Prado. We tackled the Awareness about HIV and
AIDS. We assigned to orient the Grade 8 section Ilog and
Batis.
As we entered the room, their teacher Ms. Mary Joy Dela
Cruz introduced us in her class. At first, the students was
very noisy and busy doing their business. They kept on
talking to each other and there’s no interest about the
topic that we will going to discuss, so the first thing we
do is to give some energizer to motivate them to listen. We
set a game to catch their attention and interest.
After the game we started to do our tasks, as the
discussion goes by I observed that few of the students was
interested about the topic and kept on asking some critical
questions. Ofcourse, we answered it patiently and try our
best to explained it to an easiest way and make them
understands. At the end of the orientation, I felt satisfy
because I know that I impart my knowledge about HIV and AIDS
and make them aware about the topic we tackled.
