Correspondence and making personal visits and holding meetings

with Government / Semi Government Offices to facilitate the Post

R&R process, training and guiding PAPs for establishing their co –

operative housing societies and in running them efficiently,

providing financial assistance as per rules, Allotment of social

amenity tenements to Co-operative Housing Society, addressing

grievances of PAPs, Helping in registration of associations of Co-

operative Housing Societies and carrying at conveyance wherever

possible as per Exit Policy of MMRDA, making efforts to improve

health and education facilities for PAPs and preparing Human

Development Report for MMR.

Detail of Tasks Carried out :-

Acquisition of Land :

Submission of necessary proposals to Government for acquisition

of private lands affected by projects, following up with the

Government and the Competent Authority, preparing proposals for

provision of compensations and implementing the same.

Rehabilitation and Resettlement:-

Getting the survey of PAPs done, deciding eligibility / getting

eligibility decided, examining availability of tenements / shops,

preparing and issuing allotment letters, establishing co-ordination

with various project implementing Divisions as well as considering

proposals for repairs and construction of tenements and carrying

out related tasks.

Post R & R :-

Work related to providing all types of financial funding to Co-

operative Housing Societies, Correspondence with the World Bank

related to MUTP, Co-ordination with Government and Semi

government organizations for resolving post rehabilitation problems

of PAPs, Presentation of MUTP, R & R and Post rehabilitation

works of MMRDA to the national and the international study groups,

Providing assistance in establishment and registration of Co-

operative Housing Societies, and arranging training workshops for

proper working of such societies, Redressing grievances of PAPs,

Conducting meetings with concerned officers of MCGM regarding

getting concessional rates of Property Taxes and Water charges to

the PAPs, conducting site visits and preparing and submitting

reports in certain specific cases, monitoring the health and

education programmes undertaken in R&R colonies, Appointing

specialist for preparing human development report for MMR and

The procedure followed in the decision making process, including channels of supervision

& accountability in Social Development Cell of MMRDA

Name of activity: Acquisition of Land:-

Obtaining information from project implementing Division, getting joint

measurement of land done, submitting proposal to Government, following up

with the Government and competent Authority for issue of Notice, hearing of

suggestions and objections, issue of final notification, taking of possession of

land and declaration of award, taking action for provision of compensation.

Rehabilitation and Resettlement :-

Permanent rehabilitation of eligible PAPs of the various projects implemented

by the Authority as per the rehabilitation policy of the Government, Grievances

redressal of PAPs prior to rehabilitation, submission of

correspondence/applications/information by the concerned officers in the

matters to the senior level officers for rehabilitation of eligible PAPs,

preparation of proposals for rehabilitation / answers for legislative assembly /

legislative council/suggestions/discussions, conducting/arranging meetings to

instruct the concerned officers to submit proposals for questions/complaints

raised with States Information Commission/court cases/Human Right

Commission, keeping account of rehabilitation colonies and buildings

available with MMRDA and allotment of tenements/shops for various projects

of the Authority as well as others organizations like MCGM.
