Newcastle College is positioned in the centre of Newcastle. We’re here for the communities around us, supporting our local businesses and providing education opportunities to all. Here are just a few examples of our recent successes:

Students Take Charge at City Centre HotelNewcastle College students took over a city centre hotel as they were given exclusive access for an entire day. The Copthorne Hotel Newcastle welcomed 24 students for the annual takeover event, allowing them to assume key roles in the running of the venue. Learners were handed the reins in areas such as front-of-house, housekeeping and finance, giving them a unique insight into the day-to-day running of a busy hotel.

Rugby Partnership a Win for StudentsThe College has entered into a groundbreaking partnership with Winlaton Rugby Club to boost participation, health and wellbeing. In a mutually beneficial partnership, college students have the opportunity to train at Winlaton Rugby Club whilst their

rugby team have access to the College’s sport facilities. The innovative agreement extends to recruiting players to Winlaton’s first all-female rugby team.

Over 700 Students Graduate from Newcastle College University CentreNewcastle College University Centre saw its first cohort of graduates receive their degrees, less than a year after it was officially launched. More than 700 students celebrated their achievements, graduating from over 70 different degrees. Newcastle College, which has offered degree qualifications for a number of years, was the first further education college in the UK to be awarded the powers to develop and deliver its own degrees in 2016.
