THE BIBF GOES VIRTUAL!VIRTUAL TRAINING The BIBF has introduced “MyClass 2.0” E-Learning Platform, an interactive

learning experience which can be accessed from any device, anywhere,

offering real time sharing of audio, video, course materials, chat, live white

board, course assessments, along with live teaching.

The e-Learning Platform was developed and launched by the BIBF to

support organizations during the COVID-19 Pandemic and to ensure the

avoidance of disruption to students’ learning journey. Many of the Centre

programmes have been offered utilizing the MyClass 2.0 platform benefiting

various clients.

during the COVID-19 Pandemic, the BIBF has

partnered with STC to offer a free webinar to the public

covering the topic of “Cyber Security Governance,

Operations, and Business Continuity”.

the session was delivered by, Sr. (ISC)2 Authorized

CISSP Instructor, covering part of the content

that is typically presented during the full Certified

Information System Security Professional (CISSP)

seminar focusing on two domains: (1) Security &

Risk Management; and (2) Security Operations.

AWS DISCOVERY DAY

SECURITY AWARENESS SESSION FOR GENERAL USERS

IN PARTNERSHIP WITH AMAZON WEB SERVICES (AWS)

CYBER SECURITY ACADEMY POWERED BY STC

To kick-off the AWS Month, the BIBF in partnership with AWS delivered the “AWS

Discovery Day” - a free of charge virtual event that is designed to introduce AWS cloud

computing concepts and foundational infrastructure services. The event was attended

by customers who have recently signed up with AWS, and those who simply wanted to

grasp the basics of the AWS cloud platform.

The BIBF partnered with STC to deliver a second free webinar to the public covering

the topic of “Security Awareness” for general users. This is due to the fact that recent

reports are showing an increase number of phishing attacks during the pandemic

situation.

The webinar focused on:

• Introduction to Information Security

• Password Security

• Social Networks Security

• Malware & Phishing

• Social Engineering Email Security

• Cloud Computing

Under the patronage of the Central Bank of Bahrain, the BIBF successfully concluded its first virtual forum, entitled: “Achieving Excellence in a Pandemic”, powered by Batelco.

With the attendance of more than 370 executives and business professionals from various sectors around the world, the forum provided an outlook on COVID-19 from a national and global perspective, as well as shed light on how to overcome challenges and attain business continuity.

This initiative was launched in alignment with national efforts to support organisations during the COVID-19 pandemic, with a main aim of providing continuous education and training support to the business community.

The virtual forum kicked off with an opening speech by the Forum Chairman, Mr. Ahmed Naeemi, followed by the Keynote speeches delivered by H.E. Mr. Mohammed AlQaed, the Chief Executive of the Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) who highlighted the role of Bahrain in responding to COVID-19 pandemic, and Mr. Seamus Gillen, International

expert in corporate governance and Founder Director of Value Alpha Limited, who discussed key Corporate Governance considerations during COVID-19.

In addition, the forum tracks provided an interactive and stimulating learning experience ranging from keynote sessions, expert panel discussions, and specialised parallel training workshops. Participants got the opportunity to select a breakout session of their interest that met their requirements. Moreover, they were encouraged to discuss, share their experiencesand ask questions. The virtual forum hosted two engaging panel discussions, the first one placed HR under the Spotlight and discussed Working with COVID-19, whereas the second panel discussion highlighted COVID-19 as a wake-up call for Digital Transformation.

The forum was concluded by Mr. Hal S. Scott, Chairman & President of the Programme on International Systems (PIFS) and The Emeritus Nomura Professor of International Financial Systems at Harvard Law School, who shared his insights into how the global business world is responding to COVID-19.

RERA PRACTITIONER CERTIFICATE IN REAL ESTATE - STREAM 1&2We have delivered one batch of training for each Stream benefiting brokers and sales agents. The training was classroom based and aims to enable the target real estate professionals to maintain the highest international professional standards and align with national regulatory environment.

Through our partnership with the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA), the BIBF continues to support the development of the Real Estate Professionals in Bahrain.

RERA -CERTIFICATION IN PROPERTY MANAGEMENT (CPM) The CPM qualification course is specifically designed for Bahrain’s market to educate those involved in Property Management and leasing services. This year, we have delivered this course virtually for the first time instead of the classroom based training.

ESSENTIALS OF REAL ESTATE REGULATIONS FOR BROKERS & SALES AGENTS IN BAHRAINThe course is a derivative of the legal module in ‘Practitioner of Real Estate’ course. We have delivered two sessions (English & Arabic) which aimed to train the Real Estate professionals on Bahrain’s laws and regulations.

UNDERSTANDING REAL ESTATE VALUATION PRINCIPLES & PRACTICES FOR THE FINANCIAL SECTORTo cope with Bahrain’s regulations in Real Estate Valuation, the course was designed with RICS to give an understanding to the individuals who engage in real estate transactions from the financial sector. The training was conducted for 3 groups and was attended overall by more than 100 participants.
