National Association of Students of Architecture, briefly known as NASA India, is a student association, one of its kind for the undergraduate students of Architecture in India. Established on 13 September 1957 by seven founding members, namely,

• Bengal Engineering and Science University, Shibpur

• Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (formerly University Of Roorkee)

• Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur

• School of Planning and Architecture, Delhi

• CEPT University, Ahmedabad,

• Sir J. J. College of Architecture, Mumbai,

• Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University, Hyderabad.

History

Aims & Objective NASA India provides an interactive platform for undergraduate architecture students all over the country by holding conventions and competitions for various trophies which cover different aspects of architecture.

NASA India has its headquarters currently located at the Department of Architecture, School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi. To achieve its aims and objectives, it hosts various events like,

NASA is associated with many institutions across the world

•Indian Heritage Cities Network - UNESCO or IHCN-UNESCO •Housing and Urban Development Corporation of India (HUDCO) •Indian Society of Landscape Architects (ISOLA) •University of Westminster •Laurie Baker Centre for Habitat Studies •Association of Designers of India (ADI) •Virasat Foundation •GRIHA (TERI)- Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment

Associations

• NASA India now includes students of over 190 colleges from across the country, divided geographically into six zones.

• Countries like Pakistan, Nepal , China, Australia, etc also participates.

Present Scale

Also participate in the cultural events and lectures & workshops.

Hosted ANNUAL NASA CONVENTION IN 1996.

• Shortlisted in top 10 for Journalism trophy, 2012
