What is distance learningFrom the foregoing, it clear that e-learning is not limited to on-line neither is there always a physical separation between the teacher and the learner. The ban on satellite campuses by the federal government which led to the establishment of national Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) will be more viable and effective with distance learning. Many people then lost hope since the bam. It is interesting today to note that distance learning provides even better opportunity for people to properly utilize their time, money and gain wider knowledge apart from their course of study. It government will protect will project the programme; we are going to be as strong and stable as Japan at not more stronger. This is for a more fact we have enough human and material resources, and that we have not witnessed any natural calamity. What we actually need is proper planning, adequate execution, prudent monitoring and feed back to make sure that the objective of distance learning programme is realized.
