School of Computer Science had its beginning in 2002 with the objective ofhelping students harvest the benefits of the IT revolution that swept throughevery facet of modern human life for the past two decades. The mission of the school is to persistently strive for achieving excellence incomputing disciplines. Our courses enable the students to be updated onthe latest revolution in technology and equip them with the required skillsand knowledge to be industry ready. The sustained effort is to produce com-puting graduates with potential to design and develop systems involving theintegration of software and hardware devices. A sound understanding ofmathematical ideas is needed throughout the degree, both for potential ap-plications such as scientific computation, and for reasoning rigorously aboutthe specification and behavior of programs. Practical skills must also be de-veloped, and the majority of subjects within the course are linked with prac-tical work which contributes marks towards the final examination.

ManagementThe institute derives its title and inspiration from St. Vincent De Paul, thepatron saint of the Vincentian Congregation, a Christian religious communitywhich manages the institute. Inspired by the example of St. Vincent de Paul, the members of the Congregation undertake various educational/charitable/spiritual activities for the upliftment of the society and especially that of themarginalized sections. Vincentian Congregation is the parent organizationwhich runs De Paul Education Trust which manages DiST and its sister concernssuch as De Paul English Medium School.
