Stress Buster
“The greatest weapon against stress is our ability to
substitute pessimism with optimism.” This point was
emphasized by Mr. Rajendra Gandhi, Director,
Educational Programme, Art of Living and
Ms. Shreya Chugh, National Coordinator, Youth
Empowerment Seminar (YES), Art of Living in a
Workshop on ‘Stress free Teaching’ held in the
Department of Education on 24th
January, 2012.
They gave us a mantra about controlling and managing
stress with ‘ABC factor’ where A stands for self-
awareness, B for belongingness and C for the
commitment to the noble task of teaching. The session
included many rejuvenating activities and culminated on
a fruitful note.

Teachers in the making
‘Personality counts for more than looks'. No training
is complete without life skills. Communication and soft
skills are an integral part in a teacher’s profession as
they help her in problem solving, negotiating,
motivating and displaying a positive attitude towards
her pupil. Considering these facts, the Department held
a five day course from 21st to 25
th February, 2012 on
‘Communication and Soft Skills’.
Resource person, Ms. Shampa Sharma
The sessions were about developing the interpersonal
and intrapersonal skills of the aspiring teachers for
building good public relation and to become proficient
communicators.
