Younge, athletic Director at North Carolina Col- lege, said this week that erron- eous information about the Eagles' football schedule has been circulated. The Eagles will play Allen University at Columbia, S. C., on September 23, and will play Kentucky State College at Frankfurt, Kentucky, on Octo- ber 7. He said he has received calls from persons who have read that these games will be played away from the oppon- ents' home fields. NCC will meet Maryland State College in the University of Maryland stadium in College Park on October 21. This is the only game to be played away from the host school's home grounds, Younge said. Thurman 4th Highest Paid Player In NBA SAN FRANCISCO Nate Thurmond, rebounding star of the San Francisco Warr'ors, may be the fourth highest paid player in the National Basketball Associa- tion. In fact he may be better paid than Rick Barry, his teammate who attempted to join the new American Basketball Association. THURMOND said recently, "I'm getting more than that," when asked to ven'fy that his salary next season will be $90,000. He didn't elaborate, except to re- port that it is straight salary. Wilt Chamberlain, 7-feet-lVi inch center of the champion Phil- adelphia 76ers, says his contract is for $200,000 a year. BILL RUSSELL, player-coach of the Boston Celtics is reportedly paid $150,000 and Cincinnati's Oscar Robertson perhaps SIOO,- 000.
