DIARY DATES PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE

PARENTS ONSITE

Thank you to all of our parents and extended families for following current department protocol regarding drop off and pickup of children. The current restrictions are still in place for the foreseeable future and your continued support would be wonderful. Remember the front office is your first point of call if you require assistance.

AWARDS

The return of children has been “fruit for the soul” and we have loved the opportunity to get back into a somewhat normal routine. The kids are getting back into group work scenarios and have been trying hard in class. The playground is once again the hub of activity and it is always a delight to see smiling faces. Current restrictions specify we can’t have assemblies, but we are still awarding our students for the great work and kind spirits that they are.

SURFBOARDS

Thank you Mrs Hoezter and Mr Rees for donating some surfboards for our school front display. Hopefully over the next few weeks we will get them prepped and painted with our school core values.

WORK AROUND THE SCHOOL

Blacksmiths PS has had quite a bit of work happening over the last few weeks and will continue this week with tree removal. Some of the work is for beautification purposes and others are necessary for health and safety purposes. If your child is age appropriate and you are looking to enrol them at Blacksmiths PS for 2021, please contact the office or arrange a suitable time to come and talk to me so we are aware. Having your child’s name ready and on our class lists means that all communication will go directly to you. Our orientation process begins in Term 3 which will come around very quickly. Also if you are aware of a family, friend or neighbour, can you please pass on this message.
