PREP

We learnt what is healthy food and what is

not healthy food.

We learnt not to touch dangerous things

like glass or needles. You have to get an

adult to pick them up.

We were not allowed to say the “P” word

to Harold. We loved Harold!

Eva & Jameson P.S. (the “P” word is puppet!)

Grades 5&6

We learnt about legal drugs and what they can

do if you don’t use them carefully.

We also talked about the effects of alcohol and

cigarettes on the body. There are over 1000

chemicals in one cigarette!

I found it really interesting that it is so easy for a

non-smoker to become a regular smoker.

Vinnie

Grades 3&4

We learnt not to take any medicines without adult supervision.

Drugs like Panadol can be dangerous if we don’t take the right

amount.

We learnt that negative comments hurt people so we are trying to

turn negatives into positives. We are learning about constructive

criticism and feedback.

Harold hasn’t changed much at all over the years.

LIFE

EDUCATION

All students in the school participated in programs through the

Life Education Van.

Life Education is the largest non-government provider of drug

and health education for children Australia wide. The program

that the students participated in will empower them to make

the best choices for a safe and healthy life.

Grade 1

In the Life Ed van we learnt about how to keep

our body healthy.

We learnt that smokers shouldn’t smoke with kids

in the car. We need fresh air for our lungs.

We learnt about safety. You should always put on

your seatbelt before you start the car.

We loved meeting Harold!

Grades 2&3

We learnt not to smoke because it can kill you.

We learnt not to give our bodies too much sugar, like sugary drinks .

This makes our organs work too fast to get rid of the sugar and our

bodies don’t like this.

Healthy foods and water are best for our bodies.

Harold was tall and cute!
