A glider ot the model K7 failed to gain Do~al fligbt at ­titude immediately after tow rope relea,e on winch launch. With the stick fun llaek only tbG lett elevator CQuld be actuated in the correct direction; the right elevator deflected downwards. Tho reaJon tor this was a loose Oluo bOnd at the olevatot rib 1 at which the elev~

ator titting i8 attached. Similar incidente lead already bot ore to the iSDue at the LTA 72-7 dated reb.9.1972.

1. Removo elovator. ChOCk that the glued joint betveen rib 1 and tbe lead­ing edgo plywood and the elevator spar respectively is in good condition (see Fig.ll. Before doing 10 check whether the LTA 72-7 01 Feb.9. 1972 va. already pre­viously accomplisbed (this i. not applicable to Kg, Kli and ASK 181; it yes then tbe fabric strip first carefully has to be detached in order to be able to cbeck the glued joint.
