Knowledge Management Section
KM is a process of creating, storing, sharing, applying and re-using organisational knowledge to enable an organisation to achieve its goals and objectives. KM is extending the concept of "knowledge" beyond existing concepts like "memory", "storage", and "information". The term covers such areas as tacit knowledge (expertise), implicit knowledge, explicit knowledge and procedural knowledge.

• LILAC is aimed at librarians and information professionals who teach information literacy skills, are interested in digital literacies and who want to improve the information seeking and evaluation skills of all library users whoever they may be. The conference incorporates keynote speeches and parallel sessions covering many different areas of the field, from school to academic libraries, from public sector to national libraries. We encourage and support networking and sharing of expertise between all IL professionals attending.
