Many years experience in the designand manufacture of air driven dia-phragm pumps have resulted in thesehigh performance units. Because oftheir compact, lightweight construc-tion, they are well suited to portableand mobile applications as well asfixed installation in process plants.

All types of fluids from water to slur-ries and pastes, including abrasive orshear sensitive media containingsolids, are handled cost effectively bythese pumps.

Choice of just the right Series M unitto satisfy the requirement in eachcase is facilitated by availability ofthree different materials for the pumphousing:

Double acting, positive displacementSeries M pumps operate with twoalternating pumping chambers. Thecompressed air which drives the unitis admitted through a control valve, tothe rear of each diaphragm in turn, sodisplacing the medium from alternatepumping chambers.

In the pump illustrated, the right handpumping chamber is in the intakeposition. A vacuum has been created

by the retraction of the diaphragmand the pumped medium flows intothe chamber. The left hand dia-phragm, which is supported by com-pressed air, simultaneously displacesthe medium present in this chamber.

Since the two diaphragms are conn-ected by a common piston rod,suction always occurs in one cham-ber whilst discharge is occurring inthe other.

Example: To help you select the correct pump sizeRequired pumping rate is 17 m3/h and required total discharge head is20m. The correct selection is DL 50, the required air pressure is 3.8 barand the air consumption is 1.5 Nm3/min.

Extremely rugged constructionreduces downtime to a minimum.

DEPA pumps have been designed insuch a way that all components incontact with the product can be dis-assembled and reassembled within afew minutes. This means that servicingwork is reduced to the absolute mini-mum.

DEPA air driven diaphragm pumpshave been developed as a modularsystem. Consequently, many compo-nents—some of which are common toall versions—are mutually compatibleand interchangeable.

This flexible construction allows quickand simple changing of the internalsfor all Type DL models, to fulfil differentapplications.
