MASTHEADThe masthead onThis front cover is very large and is a rather bright colour, contrasting with the rather dark black and white (greyscale) main image. This helps the masthead to stand out and instantly catch your eye in comparison to the rest of the cover. It is also a different font to the rest of the font style to most other fonts on the page.

This text has the same qualities as the masthead; much larger than all other text, different colour, different font helping it also catch your eye.

MAIN IMAGEI think the main image model stands out on the magazine as it is a close-up shot, emphasizing her from the chest upwards. Because of this, we are instantly drawn to her face. The black and white colour effect also makes the main image look more serious, professional and mature.

SUBHEADINGSThe subheadings on this magazine front cover are rather plain and simple, but look rather professional and mature. I like the the rather fancy, feminine font used for this.

TITLEThe title ‘contents’ is very small, simple and plain but once again gives off the same mature and professional for the magazine. I like how the title also includes different styles of fonts. E.g. the ‘e’ in italic font unlike the rest. This title does not really stand out on the page, I think to give the image more attention.

IMAGEThe model in this image for the contents page gives off a rather sexual, inviting and flirtatious look. This suggests that this magazine is possibly aimed at an adult audience. She is also revealing parts of her body such as her stomach and the top of her thigh. This image is also black and white like the main image on the front cover, once again suggesting a more serious tone and maturity. The image is the first thing that catches your eye on this page.

I like how this magazine gives readers the option to subscribe to the magazine, this may give the reader encouragement to continue readings these magazines.

SUBHEADINGS ANDARTICLESThe different subheadings also have that one italic letter effect which I like and only one word is underlined which is rather interesting. I also like how the article titles are in capital letters where as the descriptions are not.

IMAGEIn comparison to theRather flirtatious looking image on the contents, the big laughing smile on this model gives off a very happy and rather innocent look. This is the first thing that catches your eye when looking at the double page spread and I think it instantly sets and a lighter and more cheery tone for the reader than the rest of the magazine where the models have serious faces.

PULL QUOTEThe pull quote is a sentence that will endure the readers that has been took out of the article and placed in the center of the article in larger text, standing out from everything else. This is done to attract the readers attention into reading the full thing when they see the pull quote. Black and white effect

used once again giving off that mature, professional effect that has been there throughout the magazine.

The text within this article is very small, plain and simple. I think this is to give more emphasis to the main image and the pull quote.
