COLD AND FLU SEASON TIPS FROM NURSE HERREN We are still in flu season and here are some tips on keeping the family health. Make sure your child gets plenty of rest and drinks enough fluids. If your child has been sent home from school for fever greater than 100 degrees, please be sure
they are fever free for 24 hours without fever reducing medicine before sending them back to school.
If your child receives a doctor’s diagnosis of a contagious condition, only send them back to school when released by the doctor.
Frequent handwashing, covering all coughs and sneezes and not sharing food or drink will help stop the spread of contagious conditions.

Library Notes I have LOVED seeing the students so excited about reading and how involved their families have been too! January reading logs are due and are the last opportunity to earn a free ticket to Six Flags and/or Schlitterbahn. February reading logs went home, and all participating students earn a free pizza from Pizza Hut. The last week of February we will celebrate the National Day of Reading. We will celebrate by: having a book fair, ending our Tomball Reads One Book program with the "Action for Apes" drive, having our campus Book Tournament, having guest readers in the classrooms, and ending the week with a book character parade (March 2nd). Whew! Again there is LOTS going on, so be sure to check out our library's website.
As always, thank you for encouraging your child to read!
