n Click ‘I Agree’ on the DOD Privacy And Security Notice Screen.
n Click ‘Log In With CAC’, select your non-email certificate, then click ‘OK’.
n Once your ‘Dashboard’ screen appears, locate the ‘Manage Career’ menu heading and hover over it to reveal the ‘Manage Career’ menu.
n When the ‘Manage Career’ menu appears hover over the ‘Certification’ option to reveal the ‘Certification’ menu to the right.
n On the ‘Certification’ menu click 'Manage Certification Requests'.
n When the ‘Manage Certification Requests’ page displays locate ‘Pending Certification Requests’ and click 'Add Certification Request'.
n Select the appropriate radio button for Primary or Subsidiary under ‘Certification Type’ in the ‘Career Field Selection’ box.
n Select the appropriate ‘Career Field’ from the drop down menu.
n Select the appropriate ‘Certification Level Pursued’ from the drop down menu.
n Click ‘Continue’ to submit the request and it will be routed to your supervisor for review/approval.

Managers (FAC-P/PM) program applies to all executive agencies, except the Department of Defense (DOD). 12 mos to certify.

n The Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act of 1990 (DAWIA) (United States Code Title 10, Chapter 87)required the Department of Defense (DoD) to establish a process through which persons in the acquisition workforce would be recognized as having achieved professional status.
