Principle Investigator, Mindfulness and Self-Compassion, Arcata, CA. Examine the role of mindfulness and self-compassion in college students’ psychological and behavioral adjustment.

9/13 – 2/15 Principle Investigator, Mindfulness School-Based Prevention, Arcata, CA. Trained graduate students in mindfulness. Examined the effects of a

mindfulness based prevention program on the cognition and mental health of children in local schools.

9/13 – 4/16 Co-investigator, Korean Immigrants' Spirituality and Well-Being Investigated the relation between spiritual practices and well-being among Korean immigrants.

10/10 – 2/12 Co-investigator, Longitudinal Research on the Preventive Intervention for Behavioral Problems of At-Risk Young Children, Seoul, Korea. Co-investigator of a grant from the National Research Foundation of Korea. Investigated the effects of intensive parenting education programs on behavioral problems of preschool children. Conducted and supervised assessments for children and their families. Trained graduate students in the Dyadic Parent-Child Interaction Coding System (DPICS). Participated in grant and manuscript writing.

Principal Investigator, Religion/Spirituality and Mental Health in Adolescence Project, New York, NY. Investigated the influence of multidimensional facets of religion/spirituality on psychological well-being and adjustment among Korean American adolescents.

7/04 – 6/06 Data Analyst, GREAT Schools and Families Project: Multi-site Violence Prevention Project, Athens, GA. Data analyst for C.D.C. funded grant aimed at reducing aggression and bullying among middle school students. Worked as part of two-person

Research Assistant, ACT Early Project, Athens, GA. Served as data collection, data management, and statistics research assistant on U.S. D.O.E. funded, longitudinal grant examining behaviorally at-risk children in schools. Statistical packages and methods utilized included SPSS, various inferential statistics, factor analysis, and cluster analysis.

3/95 – 11/96 Research Assistant, Attachment Research Group, Seoul, Korea. Participated in research examining child-parent relationships among child clinical populations such as reactive attachment disorder and autism spectrum disorders.

Consortium in Professional Psychology (Catholic Social Services Clinical Program), Lincoln, NE. Conducted a wide range of psychological services including psychotherapy, assessment, and psychoeducation in a community mental health center. Provided consultation and counseling at a local school. Clients served included children, adolescents, adults, and families with a variety of presenting problems.

8/05 – 12/06 Practicum Student, Regents Center for Learning Disorders, University of Georgia, Athens, GA. Conducted intake interviews and psychological assessments with college students suspected of having learning disorders. Participated in eligibility decision- making processes and individual supervision.

Delivered inpatient psychological services to children and adolescents in a residential treatment center. Clients included the homeless and those with disruptive behavior disorders. Conducted intake interviews, comprehensive assessments and feedback, and individual and group therapy. Consulted with parents and teachers regarding behavioral management and individual children and adolescents. Participated in interdisciplinary team meetings with social workers and special education personnel. Trained practicum students.
