(06/01-12/03) Led an independently funded (NSF, NOAA, ONR) HAB research program which employed 3 graduate students on laboratory and field based research projects in Florida Bay, the Gulf of Mexico and the Gulf of Maine.

funded research program as well as oversight of the NOAA and EPA funded ECOHAB: Florida program. Duties included collection of chemical, biological and physical ECOHAB data on monthly cruises, data, data processing and provision to modellers, supervision of graduate students and presentation of results at national and international meetings.

Australian Research Council (ARC) Post Doctorate Fellow. Laboratory of Dr. W. C. Dennison, Marine Botany Group, Department of Botany, University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia. (12/95-10/98) Developed and implemented use of marine plants (phytoplankton, seagrass, macroalgae and mangroves) as nutrient bioindicators of water quality in Australia.

Research Assistant. MERL (Marine Ecosystems Research Laboratory) Mesocosm Facility, Graduate School of Oceanography, University of Rhode Island, USA. Responsible for a variety of laboratory and field measurements on individual projects including: (10/92-12/94) Massachusetts Bay Outfall Pipe Project.
