PRACTITIONER FEEDBACK A key contribution of any academic computer science and engineering department is the placement of its graduates within the information technology and engineering industries. In order for Penn State students to continue to compete for employment opportunities, a comprehensive practitioner feedback process will provide key input to the department on required skills in an ever- evolving industry. The intent of this initiative is to provide a framework for CS and CSE alumni to share practitioner feedback, based on their industry experiences and knowledgebase, to help refine curriculum and laboratory activities within CSE’s deliverables. Faculty will also share their perspective with CSE-AS to provide a balanced review of the feedback. Our alumni society is an opportunity for you to reconnect with–or stay connected with–CSE, to give back to Penn State, to thank Penn State for our careers, and to share our wisdom and experiences with the University and the students. As a Penn State computer science/engineering graduate, you are, by default, a member of our alumni society. There are no dues or fees to join. The society is structured around a core team that functions as a board of directors to set the direction of our activities. The activities are carried out by teams or committees, i.e., by volunteers like you. The members of the CSE-AS core team are: Katie Barrett, CMPSC 1968 Rich Prewitt, CMPSC 1984 Allen Puy, CMPSC 1986 Matthew Graham, CMPEN 2000
