The YarnCricket – 60% Cotton, 40% Linen

Cricket is made of cotton and linen plies wrapped around each other, which gives the yarn a tweedy effect rarely found in a summer yarn. The subtle color variations give pieces depth. The best qualities of both cotton and linen shine in Cricket, which has both drape and softness.

Knotted strapsTry on top and use scrap yarn to mark strap placement on front. Strap (make 2): With dpn, CO 3 sts. Work I-Cord for approx 30” (wind off a bit of extra yarn, in case strap needs to be lengthened after knotting). Sew straps to front underneath I-Cord edging. Try on top and mark straps where top of first knot should sit. Use Josephine knot diagram as a guide to tie three consecutive knots. Note: The Josephine knot is common, more information about it is readily available online. Sample knots required approximately 6½” of I-Cord from each strap and three consecutive knots are approximately 2½” tall. Try on top once more to mark strap placement for back and desired strap length. Adjust I-Cord length to the desired fit and sew straps to back of tank underneath I-Cord edging.
