The program is a combination of writing-intensive workshops, reading-intensive background courses, and on-site studio practice sessions in which students receive class credit for working on their writing alone, with peers, and/or with the guidance of instructors. Students work together to produce the undergraduate literary magazine Main Squeeze. Creative Writing also sponsors the Emergent Forms reading series and West Wind Review, SOUs literary journal. </p><p>CAREER OPTIONS </p><p> Freelance Writing (Fiction, Screenwriting, etc.) Education Editing &amp; Publishing Marketing &amp; Design Arts &amp; Letters Administration </p><p>HOW TO DECLARE CREATIVE WRITING AS YOUR MAJOR </p><p> Complete a Pre-Major Checklist available in the Creative Arts Office located in Arts Building room 117.
