3.1 Competitive environmentOne of the biggest challenges to this day still is finding that PC for you there’s many different manufactures to choose from along with the prices they come with, for a Gaming desktop they could range from $600 to around $5,000.00 depending on the power you want. Most of these manufactures do offer some customizing options like how much memory you would like for your computer, what kind of processor and more, along with great customer service.

Payment System PlanFor a custom PC building company like computer maniacs having a solid payment system is really important, fortunately I’ve done some looking around and found the perfect system for this company which would be BigCommerce. After looking through the website for BigCommerce I’m happy to use this e commerce platform for computer maniacs, and another thing to add about BigCommerce would be the price there are three different packages which is standard priced at $10.00 a month (was originally priced at $29.95 a month) and comes with the basics, Plus priced at $79.95 a month and comes with what you would get in standard but with more features, and Enterprise which is the highest package out of them all with a custom price tag to fit your business along with everything Bigcommece has to offer. Since this company is entering the E-commence world for the first time the standard package would be enough which would include

Marketing Plan

1.0 Plan ObjectivesSo far Computer Maniacs custom make their own Desktop cases, Ram chips, Keyboards, and mouse’s but are looking into adding more computer components to their line in the next 4 years. With the addition of the mother board, power supply, video cards, sound cards, and cooling units Computer Maniacs should see a 40% boast to sales.

2.0 Market SummaryThe target market for Computer maniacs would be for about anyone that wants a custom built PC but would be more focused on young adults in their early 20s to older adults in their late 40s that participates regularly in e-commerce and m-commerce transactions, but mostly anyone with a fascination in computer hardware or the need for a PC.

Based off emarketer.com online Computer and consumer electronics e-commerce should see a 13.3% growth in the year 2016. The reason for this increase is the raise of networking and the need for computers between businesses small and big, and personal use like home computers and laptops. The biggest problem with computer shopping is finding the right one for the best price, between all the computer manufactures there’s a lot of choices to choose from like if you want power for a good price the Dell XPS series is a powerful line to choose from but what if you want a computer with a powerful motherboard, Ram chips, and Hard drive but with the rest being cheap to keep the price as low as possible then that’s where Computer Maniacs comes into play.

Security PlanThe next important thing to talk about would be the security plan for computer maniacs, for starters were going to identify the critical business functions which would impact the daily operations of Computer Maniacs.

Table 1 shows the top critical business functions of Computer maniacs along with how severe it can be and the maximum downtime, and the maximum downtime is the break-even point which would mark how long it would take before that critical business function starts to lose money.

Table 1. Critical Business Functions

1.0 Risk assessmentThe three types of risks that are a constant threat to Computer Maniacs ecommerce structure would have to be security risks, payment risks, and fulfillment risks, and to better understand the critical functions and what risk they fall under Table 2 rates them on a three point scale (low, medium, and high) along with more details of the chance of it occurring and the cost of it occurring.

The risk assessment matrix shown in figure 2 shows where each critical business function stands, the red is a high priority, the yellow is a medium priority, and the green is a low priority. The vertical axis represents cost of occurrence, and the horizontal axis is chance of occurrence.

Figure 2. Risk assessment matrix. Risks in green areas are low-priority, those in yellow are medium-priority, and those in red are high-priority.

2.0 Security policyAccording to the risk assessment matrix in Figure 2, Computer Maniacs will accept the risks in the green area (3and 4) the yellow area (6 and 7) and the red area (5) and handle the cases themselves. In the mean time Computer maniacs will mitigate the other risks that weren’t mentioned before (2 and 1).

After reviewing the risks from table 2, the company decided to let the risks 1 through 4 be handled by Bigcommerce, with its use of hacker deterrent security provisioning, three redundant network architectures, hardware firewalls and the extra measures in place to help with fraud.

Table 3 shows off the risks, the priority, the decision to mitigate or accept the risk, and the measure that would be taken if this risk were to happen.

3.0 Implementation planFor the risk plan most of the risks would be managed by our dedicated customer service department that’s already used to handle our basic customer issues, but in the case of a major problem the customer service department will get boosted in staff to help with the increase number of customers.

4.0 Security organizationComputer Maniacs at the moment is a small but growing company. With the combined effort of Mary Cummings our CIO and Hélène Pat our CFO they will ensure that the companies IT resources and business remains on track and our financial goals stay on track. Now if our financial goals aren’t meeting the required amount, then our CIO Hélène Pat would have a meeting with Marco Poll and Jack Slate to come up with new computer parts and styles that would bring in more revenue and reach our financial goals.

5.0 Security audit scheduleFor the audit schedule both the IT and financial sectors would be performed quarterly, and social media marketing efficacy will be assessed monthly. By following this security audit schedule Computer Maniacs will grow and branch out into a reliable great computer building company, along with maintaining the security of our company and at the same time our customer’s needs.
