COOL CODING 2020 – OVERVIEW

ABOUT THE PROJECTYour challenge is to make an adventure game using Roblox. But first get inspired: travel back in time to understand the history of gaming.

Then gain the skills by learning the fundamentals of coding. Lastly, create your own

game and share it to the world.

PROJECT TASKIn 10 sessions, you will be using your

computational thinking, creativity and problem-solving skills on a variety of fun educational platforms to help you plan and create your

adventure game.

RESOURCESEssential: Computer (Windows or Mac) with Roblox studio installed (see Session 6), and

Internet connection.

Desirable: Google Chrome, google account (to comment on YouTube live stream webinar),

notepad, pen and a second device (e.g. Mobile phone, iPad or Monitor).

NOTES1. * Adult supervision will be required in Session 1 & 6 to support setting up a free

account.
