The HMC merges the entire functionality of a Controller and an HMI into one unit. It provides visual feedback and direct access of automation control systems on the factory floor, or anywhere an opera-tor interface is needed. The HMC7000 Series connects to various input devices (pushbuttons, proxim-ity switches, sensors) and output devices (actuators, motors, valves) using a modular or built-in I/O that is controlled using an internal program. This all-in-one control solution eliminates the need to purchase a separate HMI and PLC. Additionally, HMC technology offers other distinct advantages including:

The HMC7000 Series offers many hardware features that enhance the capabilities of these units.

Vibrant DisplaysThe 4.3” & 7” models are fully controlled via touch screen, supporting 32K colors for high quality graphics. The 5.7” and 3.5” models use a 320x240 pixel display that support 32K colors.

The 2.7” models include a screen with six different colors on a black background. Change the color at any time during operation.

USBEvery HMC7000 has a USB port for uploading/downloading projects.

Direct ControlSix function keys are available on most models. The 3.5” and 5.7” models also support a touchscreen that allow you to display buttons when needed. The two smaller models have numeric keypad input for data entry.

Define each function key as a global key or the function can change according to screen.

The LEDs on each key are programmable – this allows you to customize the function of each LED.

All ‘A-M’ models have an additional USB port to record important data and store it onto a flash drive. You can also use a flash drive to download/upload projects.

HMC7043A-M and HMC7070A-M models support Modbus master and slave over Ethernet (10/100 MB/S).

Input/Output Expansion Modules

Ethernet Connectivity

The I/O modules for the HMC7000 Series offer a wide range of options. Select digital modules available with high-speed inputs or outputs with sink/source as well as relay options. Analog input/output modules support voltage or current mode connection. All HMC models (except the HMC7030A-L) have expansion slots so that you can configure your unit to meet the requirements of your project. The HMC7030A-L model has twelve digital inputs, six relay outputs, and two NPN-type sourcing outputs built into each unit.

PLC ConnectivityEvery HMC model has a serial port to communicate to your favorite PLC. The 7” and 5.7” models have two serial ports for connection to two PLCs. The HMC7043A-M has a single serial port that can use a ‘Y’ connector for dual connectivity. The PLCs do not have to use the same communication driver.

Serial PrinterIn addition to supporting PLCs, you can connect a printer using the serial port of the HMC.

Product Line-Up

Build your HMC7000 to your specifications by attaching various plug-in modules to the expansion ports on the back of the Graphic HMC. The 5.7” and 7.0” models support up to five expansion modules. The 2.7”, 3.5” and 4.3” display models support up to three expansion modules.

Easy Wiring & InstallationWiring of the expansion modules is very simple.The terminal blocks on each module can be removed from the module – allowing the technician to install connecting wires then mount the terminal block back into place.

The I/O module snaps into the expansion port on the back of the HMC using the sturdy connectors that lock the module into position.
