RTP 30Extended Driver TrainingWeekdays 9am-6pmNew York City Taxi Operators (Hack) License, this course will cover all aspects of the TLC testing requirements�Please call 718-368-5189 for more information.

RTP 31Two-hour Portable Electronic Device (PED) Course for Taxi & Limo Drivers $35Prescribed by the New York City Taxi & Limousine Commission, this is a mandatory course for those who were issued a summons for distracted driving in violation of the TLC Rule #2-25H� This course will provide drivers with the skills necessary to use portable electronic devices while operating a taxi cab�The $35 fee must be paid at least three days before the exam, and by Money Order only.

RTP 32Four-hour English and Test Preparation for Taxi & Limo Drivers $20 If English is not your first language, this class will help you prepare for the Taxi & Limousine Commission’s English Language Proficiency Test� This class will give you the opportunity to take a practice exam, to practice pronouncing, recognizing, listening, and distinguishing numbers, addresses and spellings of common NYC destinations and landmarks, in addition to giving you opportunities to practice common courteous exchanges� Small class size customized for TLC drivers’ needs�The $25 registration fee is waived for this class.

NSD 18Defensive Driving for Taxi Drivers $40 This one session six-hour course is geared toward Taxi drivers and new TLC (Hack) license applicants�The $25 registration fee is waived for this class.

RTP 71Medallion Taxi Driver Workshop $20 This four-hour class is a TLC mandatory program that must be taken prior to your probationary license expiring� This course is specifically designed to provide all licensed Hack Operators with the fundamentals of professional development, communication skills and customer service, in addition to the skills necessary in providing excellent customer service to passengers with disabilities�The $25 registration fee is waived for this class.

NYC Taxi & Limousine Commission (TLC)Medallion Taxicab (Hack) License Exam Prep Call 718-368-5189 for class schedules.Kingsborough Community College Taxi Institute is a NYC Taxi and Limousine Commission (TLC) approved test preparation and exam site.

A collaborative initiative of the Office of Continuing Education, The Center for Economic and Workforce Development, and the Culinary Arts Program of the Department of Tourism and Hospitality. Kingsborough’s Kitchen Ventures (KV) initiative helps retail and wholesale food entrepreneurs get their businesses off the ground� The program offers supplemental education to help teach entrepreneurs how to strengthen their business plans, navigate the intricacies of distribution, early-stage catering, and compliance with regulatory procedures� KV utilizes four commercial kitchen spaces at Kingsborough to help deliver instruction and hands-on production, enabling participants to spin off and create their own, stable businesses in the community with greater success�
