• This process will continue until all available funds ( $ 9,262,473) are expended.
• School Districts or Charter Schools may not receive contingency funds exceeding $150,000.

• The Bureau of Special Education received a total of 788 requests for
contingency funding.
• 236 requests were funded representing 30% of all requests received.
• 228 requests (those above $60,000) were not considered due to the total
allocation being expended or the LEA reaching the maximum allotment
leaving a number of requests unapproved.
• 199 LEAs submitted requests.

• 324 requests were below the predicted threshold of $60,000.
• 122 LEAs (61% of the participating LEAs) received some funding.
• 17 LEAs (9% of the participating LEAs) received the maximum allotment of $150,000.
• 29 LEAs (15% of the participating LEAs) received $100, 000 or more.
• 55 requests were for over $100,000 with the highest over $240,000.
