Imagine  this.

One  year  from  now  you  are  a  Certified  Bulletproof  Coach.

You   are   one   of   the   most   knowledgeable   people   in   the   world   when   it   comes   to

innovative,  science-‐based  information,  techniques,  tools,  processes,  and  products  to

maximize   potential,   enhance   energy,   and   help   people   perform   better   and   create

success.

You   have   the   skills   to   help   anyone   achieve   an   upgraded   body,   mind,   and   life,

regardless  of  his  or  her  current  level  of  energy,  performance,  and  health.

As   a   Bulletproof   Coach   you   are   facilitating   learning,   change,   and   development   in

your  clients  in  a  way  that  enables  them  to  realize  their  potential,  and  achieve  their

most  valued  goals.  They  are  grateful.  You  are  feeling  fulfilled.

Your  clients  are  fascinating,  varied,  engaged  and  challenging.  They  come  to  you,  for

many  different  reasons:

1. Performance  –  reaching  a  destination.  For  example:  reducing  weight,  and  body

fat   percentage,   running   a   marathon,   enhancing   psychological   wellbeing,

achieving  work  or  sales  targets.

 4

2. Skills   –   developing   new   skills,   and   abilities.   For   example:   managing   stress,

accessing   creativity,   becoming   assertive,   emotional   intelligence,   improving

communication,  and  leadership  development.

3. Personal   development   –   transforming   consciousness,   perceptions,   values,

beliefs,  and  meaning.  For  example:  enhancing  self-‐awareness,  becoming  kinder

and   more   patient,   getting   clarity   on   ‘life   purpose’,   cultivating   a   meaningful

spiritual  life,  and  developing  a  mature  self-‐confidence.

You   charge   a   premium   hourly   rate   because   of   your   success   guiding   clients   in

achieving   their  goals,  and  realizing   their   fullest  potential.  People  actively  seek  you

out  to  do  so.

You  live  what  you  learned  from  the  Bulletproof  Coach  Training,  and  you’re  thriving,

taking  your  mind,  and  body  to  new  limits.

This  could  become  your  reality.

We   are   opening   the   doors   of   our  Bulletproof   Coach  Training  Course   to  motivated

people  who  want  to  optimize  their  mind,  and  body,  and  help  others  do  the  same.

Is  This  You?

The  Bulletproof  Coach  Training   is   the   first   in   its   class:   the   Gold   Standard   Coach

Training  Program  for  Maximizing  Energy,  Happiness  &  Performance.

Okay,  maybe  we’re  biased.  We  created  the  course.  But  we  know  this  coach  training

is  unlike  anything  else  out  there.

Why?

Because   it   integrates   cutting-‐edge   discoveries   from   the   worlds   of   neuroscience,

performance   coaching,   nutrition   science,   nutraceuticals,   biohacking,   positive

psychology,  brain  fitness,  PNEI  (psychoneuroendoimmunology),  resilience  training,

and  sports  psychology,  combined  with  our  own  extensive  personal  and  professional

experience.

Dave   Asprey,   the   founder   of   Bulletproof   spent   two   decades   and   over   $300,000

hacking  his  own  biology.  He  lost  100  pounds  without  counting  calories  or  excessive

exercise,   raised  his   IQ  by  more   than  20  points,   and   lowered  his   biological   age,   all

while   sleeping  5  hours  a  night.  Dave  hosts  Bulletproof  Radio   a   top-‐ranked  podcast

about  using  science,  and  technology  to  improve  your  biology.  He’s  also  author  of  the

New  York  Times  bestseller  The  Bulletproof  Diet.

I  am  Mark  Atkinson,  medical  director  of  Bulletproof,  the  Bulletproof  Coach  Training

Course   leader,   and   a   coach   with   9   years   of   experience   in   coaching   and   teaching

coaches.

Like  Dave,  I  have  also  invested  considerable  time,  money,  and  energy  into  exploring

the  edges  of  my  potential.  My  passion  is  sharing  what  I  have  learned,  with  others.

I   am   also   a   personal   development   teacher,   and   integrative   functional   medicine

physician.   While   a   typical   conventional   doctor   treats   symptoms   of   an   illness,   I

address   the   underlying   causes,   and   empower  my   patients   to   take   back   control   of

their  health,   and   life.  The   tools  of  my   trade  are  perception  shifting  methods,   food,

supplements,   mind   training   techniques,   meditation,   brain   and   heart   optimization

technologies,  and  what  I  call  conscious  living.

Conscious  living  is  about  relating  to  the  present  moment  in  a  way  that  enables  your

highest  potential  to  emerge.  It’s  a  game-‐changer,  and  I  look  forward  to  teaching  you

about  it.

Together  Dave  and  I  have  created  a  Coach  Training  Course  that  combines  a  simple

intuitive   coaching   process,   with   a   powerful   system   of   personal,   and   professional

transformation.

THE  OPPORTUNITY

You  might  be  new  to  coaching  so  I  will  share  some  illuminating  information  about

coaching,  the  coaching  market,  and  the  opportunity  for  you  as  a  coach.  This  is  a  real

eye-‐opener.

In   a   2012   report,   the   estimated   47,500   coaches  worldwide   generated   close   to   $2

billion  (USD)  in  annual  revenues.

The  greatest  concentration  of  coaches,  and  highest  paid  coaches,  are  in  'high  income

areas'   like   North   America,   Western   Europe   and   Oceania   (Australia   and   New

Zealand).

Globally  the  average  fee  charged  for  a  one-‐hour  coaching  session  was  $229  USD.  The

average  number  of  clients  at  any  given  time,  10.  The  average  number  of  hours  spent

coaching  clients  each  week,  13.  [1]

The  reason  so  many  people  are  willing  to  pay  good  money  to  work  with  a  coach  is

because   the   support,   guidance,   clarity   and   accountability   they   experience   enables

them   to   achieve  meaningful   goals  more   effectively,   and   efficiently.   The   process   of

personal   transformation,   and   achievement   is   so  much   easier   in   the   presence   of   a

skilled  companion,  a  skilled  coach.

Page 10: CONTENTS! · 2019. 8. 8. · 4! 2. Skills–!developing new! skills,! and! abilities.!For! example:!managing! stress,! accessing! creativity,! becoming! assertive,!emotional! intelligence

 10

Over  the  last  ten  years  numerous  studies  have  explored  the  benefits  of  coaching.  [2-‐

8].

Overall  they  found  working  with  a  coach  is  a  highly  effective  way  to

ü Facilitate  change:  performance,  skills,  and  personal  development.

ü Increase  the  attainment  of  personal,  and  professional  goals.

ü Improve  psychological  factors  that  enhance  performance.

ü Increase  resilience,  positivity  and  self-‐efficacy.

Coaching   works   by   building   growth   promoting   relationships   (through   presence,

support,  respect,  empowerment);  eliciting  motivation,  and  increasing  energy  levels

(the   jet   fuel   for   change);   enhancing   the   likelihood   of   sustainable   change   (through

positivity,   resilience,   reality-‐based  optimism,   and   self-‐efficacy),   and   facilitating   the

process  of   change   (through  vision,  goal-‐setting,  planning,  accountability,   reflection

and  feedback).

It’s   a   formula   that   works,   and   one   you   will   learn   in   the   Bulletproof   Coach

Training  Course.

As   graduate   of   our   Bulletproof   Coach   Training   Course   how   will   you   put   your

qualification,  and  skills  to  use?

COURSE  STRUCTURE

Our   Coach   Training   Course   has   been   designed   to   deliver   the   ideal   balance   of

experiential  training,  knowledge,  and  coaching  skills  development.  Every  skill,  tool,

technology,   and   process   has   been   selected   because   of   its   ability   to   bring   about

effective  change.  Our  approach  is  pragmatic,  and  based  on  evidence,  and  experience.

We  teach  what  works.

Our  training  is  divided  into  three  parts.

Part  1.     In-‐Person  Workshop     (2  Days)

Part  2.     Virtual  Training  Program     (35  weeks)

Part  3.     Certification  Program     (8  weeks+)

Part  1.  Two-‐Day  Workshop,  London,  July  2-‐3,  2016

This   in-‐person  workshop  is   the  most   important  part  of   the  training.   It   is  here,  you

will  undergo  a  personally  transformative  experiential  process,  be  introduced  to  the

core  Bulletproof   technologies,   and  coaching  processes,  meet  Dave  and  myself,   and

connect   with   your   fellow   students.   It’s   a   pretty   intensive   schedule   but   the

experience   will   pay   off   immediately.   I   will   share   with   you   a   complete   model   of

physical,   emotional,   psychological   and   spiritual   development.   At   its   heart   is

discovering  how  to  shift  from  identification  with  the  egoic  state  of  consciousness  to

Page 13: CONTENTS! · 2019. 8. 8. · 4! 2. Skills–!developing new! skills,! and! abilities.!For! example:!managing! stress,! accessing! creativity,! becoming! assertive,!emotional! intelligence

 13

being   centred   in   what   we   refer   to   as   Presence.   Presence   is   a   creative,   aware

intelligence  that  is  always  available  to  us  when  we  come  out  of  our  ‘head’  and  into

the  present  moment  in  a  way  that  open  and  allowing.  Presence  is  both  a  resource,

and   the   wellspring   from   which   inspiration,   wisdom   and   resilience   arises.   In

Bulletproof   Coaching,  we   coach   from  Presence.   It   is   a   game-‐changer   and   a   potent

way  to  facilitate  deep  insight  and  transformation  in  clients.  Our  students  are  often

blow-‐away   by   this   part   of   the   training.   You   will   also   learn   how   to   help   clients

discover  ‘what  they  really  want’  and  how  to  uncover  ones  vocation  –  the  work  we  /

they  were  born  to  do.

Bring  your  curiosity,  and  be  ready  to  work  hard.

Part  2.  Virtual  Training  Program  (35  weeks)

The  Virtual  Training  Program  commences  on  Monday  4th   July  2016.  Now,  we  dive

deeper  into  the  core  Bulletproof  Coaching  knowledge,  skills,  tools  and  practices.

The  training  material  will  be  released  to  you  on  a  week-‐by-‐week  basis,  usually  on  a

Monday.  The   first  and  third  Wednesday  of  each  month  we  will  have  a  Live   Coach

Training  Session  via  teleconferencing.  During  these  sessions  you  will  be  taught  and

get  to  practise  in  small  groups  the  core  Bulletproof  Coaching  Skills.

Page 14: CONTENTS! · 2019. 8. 8. · 4! 2. Skills–!developing new! skills,! and! abilities.!For! example:!managing! stress,! accessing! creativity,! becoming! assertive,!emotional! intelligence

 14

We  understand  that  you  might  not  be  able  to  attend  every  live  session  so  they  will

be  recorded,  and  available  for  you  to  listen  to  at  your  convenience.

The  Bulletproof  Virtual  Training  program  consists  of  five  sections:

1. Bulletproof  Fundamentals  -‐  Bulletproof  knowledge,  tools  and  practices.

2. Bulletproof  Coaching  -‐  learning  the  Bulletproof  Coaching  process.

3. Coaching  Practice  Intensive  -‐  practicing  the  Bulletproof  coaching  process.

4. Transforming  Passion  into  Profit  -‐  creating  a  plan  for  utilizing  your  Bulletproof

Coaching  skills  and  services.

5. Certification  Overview  -‐  getting  you  ready  for  certification.

Lets  take  a  look  at  each  section  in  turn.

SECTION  ONE  –  BULLETPROOF  FUNDAMENTALS

Many   Coach   Training   Courses   teach   their   students   about   the   importance   of   not

telling   clients  what   to   do.   This   is   based   on   the   principle   that   a   coach   should   help

clients   find   their   own   solutions,   and   insights.   This   approach   is   a   wise   one.   As

coaches  we  can’t  always  know  what  is  best  for  our  clients.  However,  my  experience

as  a  coach  is  that  until  clients  reach  a  certain  level  of  mastery  over  their  mind,  and

attain  a  level  of  inner  clarity,  many  of  the  messages  and  insights  that  arise  from  the

Page 15: CONTENTS! · 2019. 8. 8. · 4! 2. Skills–!developing new! skills,! and! abilities.!For! example:!managing! stress,! accessing! creativity,! becoming! assertive,!emotional! intelligence

 15

own  body  and  mind  cannot  be  trusted  –  they  are  often  ‘inaccurate,’   ‘distorted,’  and

‘unhelpful’.  We  will  unpack  this  statement  in  the  training.

During   the   Bulletproof   Coach   Training   process   you  will   acquire   a   lot   of   insightful

knowledge   that   when   delivered,   skilfully   and   appropriately,   has   the   potential   to

facilitate   deep   transformation.   We   will   encourage   you   to   put   that   knowledge   to

work.   Your   future   clients  will   use   you   as   a   source   of   guidance,   and   accountability

until  they  can  do  it   for  themselves.  Many  clients  will  want  to  be  told  how  they  can

achieve  their  goals,  and   improve  their  energy  and  performance.  Clients  very  much

appreciate   being   given   precise,   personalized   information,   guidance,   support   and

feedback.

As  a  Bulletproof  Coach  you  will  be   trained   to  know  when   to  give  advice,  and  how

and  when,   to   recognize   the  moments  when   facilitating   your   client   into   his   or   her

own   wisdom   and   understanding   is   the   right   thing   to   do.   This   is   the   beauty   of

Bulletproof  Coaching;  you  are   trained   to  do  both  approaches.   It   is  deeply   fulfilling

work,  and  a  privilege  to  facilitate.

The   focus   of   this   section,   Bulletproof   Fundamentals,   is   on   developing   a   sound

understanding  of  the  science-‐based  information,  techniques,  tools,  and  products  to

maximize   potential,   enhance   energy,   and   help   your   clients   perform   better,   and

create  success.  Included,  in  this  section,  is  a  teaching  on  how  to  understand  risk,  and

health   statistics.   Being   able   to   see   through   hype,   exaggerated   importance,   and

Page 16: CONTENTS! · 2019. 8. 8. · 4! 2. Skills–!developing new! skills,! and! abilities.!For! example:!managing! stress,! accessing! creativity,! becoming! assertive,!emotional! intelligence

 16

statistical  deception  will  stand  you  well   in  making  sense  of  the  myriad  claims,  and

messages   that  we   are   exposed   to   on   a   daily   basis.   This   awareness  will   serve   you

well,  and  help  you  to  accurately  communicate  the  benefit  of  a  product  or  approach

to  your  clients.

Throughout   the   training   you  will   also   be   invited   to   upgrade   your   own   body,   and

mind,  and  self-‐experiment  with  what  you  are  discovering.  This  is  such  an  important

aspect  of  becoming  a  Bulletproof  Coach.  We   invite  you  to  walk  your  talk,  and  be  a

source  of  inspiration,  as  well  as  instruction  to  your  future  clients.

Bulletproof  Fundamentals  consists  of:

1. The  Bulletproof  Life         15  weeks

2. Hacking  Happiness       4  weeks

3. Psychology  of  Success       4  weeks

4. Bulletproof  High  Performance  Map   1  week

1  -‐  THE  BULLETPROOF  LIFE

The  Bulletproof  Life  provides   the   foundational  knowledge,   tools,   and  practices   for

living   in   a   state   of   high   performance.   It   includes   a   recorded   3-‐day   workshop   in

which   the   founder   of   Bulletproof,   Dave   Asprey,   explains   in   detail   the   Bulletproof

approach  to  upgrading  your  body,  mind,  and  life.  It’s  a  fascinating  journey  into  the

state  of  high  performance.  Following  this  we  will  dive  deeper  into  each  component

part   of   the  Bulletproof  Life.  The   learning  objectives   for   each  of   these   are  outlined

below.

The  Bulletproof  Diet

On  completing  this  aspect  of  The  Bulletproof  Life  you  will  be  able  to:

ü Apply   key   insights   from   the   Bulletproof   Diet,   and   Bulletproof   Intermittent

Fasting  to  your  own  life,  and  that  of  your  clients.

ü Provide   an   overview   of   the   Ketogenic   Diet   including:   a   history   of   its   use,   the

difference  between  the  Standard  Ketogenic  Diet  (SKD),  Targeted  Ketogenic  Diet

(TKD),  and  the  Cyclical  Ketogenic  Diet  (CKD);  the  physiology  of  ketosis,  the  effect

of   Ketogenic   Diets   on   physiology,   health,   and   performance,   and

cautions/contraindications  of  the  Ketogenic  Diet.

ü Critically   review   the   evidence   relating   to   Ketogenic   Diets,   and   Intermittent

Fasting.

ü Explain  and  guide  clients  through  the  Bulletproof  Roadmap.

ü Differentiate  between  food  allergies,  intolerances,  and  sensitivities,  and  support

clients  in  identifying  their  kryptonite  foods,  and  beverages.

ü Explain   the   term   anti-‐nutrients,   and   how   they   can   compromise   health,   and

performance.

You   will   be   required   to   keep   a   CPD   diary,   which   will   record   all   CPD   events   and

practices.  The  CPD  year  runs  from  the  day  that  you  are  certified.  You  must  commit

to  continual  growth  to  retain  your  annually  renewable  status  as  a  Bulletproof  Coach.

You  will  be  offered  the  opportunity  to  renew,  and  required  to  provide  evidence  to

support  your  ongoing   status  every  12  months.   In   the  event   that   renewal  does  not

happen   for  any  reason,  you  will  not  be  authorized   to  claim  or  state   that  you  are  a

Certified  Bulletproof  Coach.

Coaching  Supervision

This  service  allows  you  to  reflect  on  your  work  with  a  senior  Bulletproof  coach,  and

to   receive   support,   and   guidance   as   needed.   Regular   sessions   are   conducted

between   the   coach,   and   their   supervisor.   This   provides,   an   opportunity   to   review

his/her   coaching   activities,   and   reflect   upon   any   issues   that   emerge.   This   may

involve  discussion  of  particular  cases.  As  a  minimum  guideline  this  CPD  programme

recommends  a  one-‐hour  supervisory  session  for  every  ten  of  your  coaching  hours  (if

you  are  inexperienced),  or  a  one-‐hour  supervisory  session  for  every  twenty  hours  (if

you  are  experienced).  Each  session  costs  $150  USD.
