MICROTUNNELINGPIPE
Microtunneling is a non-manned, laser guided, remote con-trolled, continuous pipe jacking operation. Pipes are jacked (pushed) in order from the entry shaft to the exit shaft.
DIRECT PIPEStormwater and Sanitary Sewers, Sewer Outfalls, Combined Sewer Overflows (CSOs), Stormwater Management Systems, Sewage Systems
PRIMARY CASINGSInstalled within the microtunnel pipes (primary liner casing): Pressurized Water Transmission Lines, Oil/Fuel Lines, Electrical and Communication Utilities
WATERMAINSDECAST has enhanced the AWWA C300 pipe design which allows our customers to install single-pass watermains or other high pressure applications
INSTALLATIONDense urban locations with crowded underground servicesAreas of contaminated soilsMost soil typesHigh groundwater areas
• Pipes are subjected to both jacking forces and external earth loads, this is considered in the design of the pipes• Special design to conform to AWWA C300 is available for different pipe sizes• Designed to CSA A257.2 or ASTM C76• Designed for specific project conditions

SEGMENTAL SHAFTS
Segmental shaft linings provide a safe and efficient method for construction of permanent and temporary shafts for sewer, ventilation and tunneling launch and retrieval shafts.
Launch and exit shafts for pipe jackingOverflow storage and pump stationsVentilation shafts
APPLICATIONS
Contact DECAST for available shaft diametersStandard designs for are suited to shaft depths of up to 30m
DIMENSIONS
Our in-house engineering team collaborates with consulting engineers to design context specific tunneling products, which are then manufactured indoors in our fully automated state-of-the-artfacility
Superior installation efficiencies (simple locks, immediate water seal)
Cost-effective installation
Safer work environment
Shafts have a minimal impact on the environment
Ground and noise vibrations are essentially eliminated as no hammering is required
Optimized site storage requirements
