Wall Framing

Roof and Ceiling Framing
o SED roof trusses made up of H1.2 treated timber
o Roof design is a combination of a gable and hip roof
o Trusses braced with diagonally opposed metal straps fixed to top chords
o Purlins span across trusses and provide a surface for roof cladding o Ceiling battens fixed to bottom chord and provide surface for ceiling linings to fix to
Closed In – Roof and Wall Claddings
o Cladding underlay fixed externally to framing as backup to cladding from moisture and water
o NZBC requires that roofing underlay be used under all metal roof claddings
o Hardies Weatherboard cladding to walls with 150x25 H3 timber to form all external corners and facing boards
o Corrugated coloursteel longrun fixed roofing to resist weather conditions
Insulation and Ceiling Lining
o Plumbing and wiring is completed within frames before interior is lined
o R1.8 Batts to walls
o R2.2 Rocwool to ceilings
o Insulation holds the warmth within a room by resisting the transfer of heat
o 13mm Gib Board screw fixed to all ceilings
o Back blocking to sheet end joints
Wall Lining and Bracingo Internal linings provide
fire protection, protection to the framing, wall bracing and also helps contain heat
o 9.5mm GIB Board to wallso 9.5mm Aqualine GIB Board to bathroom walls
