All menus and dishes are designed to ensure that Government guidelines are encouraged with ensuring wherever possible:

• Plenty of fresh fruit, vegetables and salads are offered to encourage the guidelines for 5-a-day fruit and vegetables

• Minimal saturated fat is used in our cooking processes being replaced with lower fat alternatives such as olive and sunflower

oil. We only use lower fat mayonnaise and we make our own very low fat natural yogurt which is used extensively throughout

our recipes

• Minimal salt is used throughout all processes. We have reduced the salt content in our recipes to ensure that our food

offerings fall well below the Food Standards Agency’s guidelines for daily salt allowances for adults

• No added butter is used to finish vegetables although it is available for clients to add if so desired. There are no hydrogenated

or trans fats present in any of our food

• All dishes wherever possible follow more modern healthier recipes

We pride ourselves on serving excellent quality food and pay attention to detail in how we operate and prepare our menus. As part of our food safety policy, our Chefs and Managers are trained to Chartered Institute of Environmental Health Advanced and Intermediate Food Hygiene standard. This gives you the confidence to know that the food you are eating has been prepared and served safely, following a quality and safety assurance system which is now legally required.

Fair Trade PolicyWe are committed to providing a better deal to third-world farmers and ensure that our tea, coffee and sugar are Fairtrade or Rain Forest Alliance products.

Nuts and Nut By-ProductsAll of our menu items may contain nuts or derivatives of nuts. We cannot guarantee that food is prepared in a nut-free environment. Please be sure to ask our Duty Manager if you are in doubt.
