Message of Reconciliation

Torah sh’Bichtav

(Written Torah)

Who hath ears to hear, let him hear?

“Sola Scriptura”

(the Scriptures alone is authoritative for faith)

(in His Name)

[Yah -hoo-Wah]

is the Name of the Creator.

(YâHuWsHúa`) is His Son

[Al-u-heem - ALHYM] means "Mighty Ones“ or "Power"

Page 6: CONCERNING the Y’Ishra’alite NATION of YHWH and the ELDERS of Y'Ishra'al

means Set-apart, Pure.

(Qodesh) also means "Set-apart"

Ruwach (Spirit) is the Ibry (Hebrew) name for His "Presence", pictured as the

Counselor, Helper, and Advocate, the One Who "proceeds from the Father"

Tehillim 27:5

For in the day of trouble He will keep me secretly in His booth. In the covering

of His Tent He will hide me. On a Rock He raises me up.

is for you too!

Scripture speaks of a secret place where we can simply go, be alone, be

protected, pray, and hear from YâHuWsHúa. Knowing there is such a place is a

matter of faith. Going back time and again, that's a matter of building a

relationship. You need not have an advanced degree in any subject, need not

have memorized Scripture from beginning to end, but instead be aware the

YaHuWaH of Y’Isra’al has a place for each Jew and Gentile who will open their

minds and hearts to Him.

Page 7: CONCERNING the Y’Ishra’alite NATION of YHWH and the ELDERS of Y'Ishra'al

Mt 6:5-8

When you pray, you shall not be as the role-fakers, for they love to stand and

pray in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen

by men. Most certainly, I tell you, they have received their reward. But you,

when you pray, enter into your inner chamber, and having shut your door, pray

to your Father Who is in secret, and your Father Who sees in secret shall

reward you openly. In praying, don’t use vain repetitions, as the Gentiles do;

for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Therefore don’t

be like them, don't you see that your Father knows what things you need

before you ask Him.

The truth in reality is visited in this secret place AND must be shared by those

who will live or else ... they will perish ... in darkness.

It is written

Lu 11:33

“No one, when he has lit a Lamp, puts it in a cellar or under a basket, but on a

stand, that those who come in may see the Light.

Tehillim. 119:105

Your Word is a Lamp to my feet, and a Light (aur) for my path.

The lamp of the body is the eye. Therefore when your eye is good, your whole

body is also full of Light; but when it is evil, your body also is full of darkness.

Therefore see whether the light that is in you isn’t darkness. If therefore your

whole body is full of Light, having no part dark, it shall be wholly full of Light, as

when the Lamp with its bright shining gives you Light.”

With this in mind, heart soul and strength let us study together in the Raukh

who see it from afar. The Secret Place, here, shines a bit of light so many can

see from afar. The topics we have chosen are addressed to Jew and Gentile

together. We do this because that is what the Bible does. This opens the

window to make more sense of what Scripture tells us!

In the secret place is plain language, something simple to read. This is a mere

starting place for deeper consideration.

Before the study I wish to point out that only the WORD is the TRUTH, be it

days, months, years, hence the calendar is “sola Scriptura” based.

Dan_7:25

And it shall speak words opposing the Most High, and it will wear down

the pure ones of the Most High Ones, and it will try to change set times

(Festivals) and Law, (Lawlessness) and they shall be granted into its hand for a

time and times and half of a time.

And then I will profess to them,

Page 9: CONCERNING the Y’Ishra’alite NATION of YHWH and the ELDERS of Y'Ishra'al

‘Never did I acknowledge you: even if you are on My lap and do not do the will

of My Father Who is in heaven, out of My lap will I cast you away! Depart

from Me, all ye workers of Lawlessness!’

So that in them is fulfilled the prediction of Yshá`Yâhuw, which says: “You shall

surely hear, but you shall not understand; and you shall surely see, but you

shall not perceive! For the heart of this people has grown thick, and they do

hardly hear with the ears, and they have shut their eyes, lest they should see

with their eyes, and with their ears they should hear, and their heart should

understand, and they should return to Me and I should cure them.

The Hebrew Bible is fully aware of that. Deuteronomy declares the worship of

sun, moon, and stars as allotted by YHWH that is to all the other peoples

Dev 4:19.

And lest thou lift up thine eyes unto Shomayim, and when thou seest the shemesh, and the yarei'ach, and the kokhavim, even all the tz’va HaShomayim,

shouldest be driven to hishtachaveh (bow down, worship) them, and serve them which Hashem Aloheicha hath divided unto kol HaGoyim under kol

HaShomayim.

Duet 4:19

"or lest you lift up your eyes to the heavens and see the sun, the moon, the stars, and all the armies of heaven, you should be impelled to bow down to

them or enslave yourselves to these [things] that YHWH has apportioned to all the nations under the whole heaven;

Page 10: CONCERNING the Y’Ishra’alite NATION of YHWH and the ELDERS of Y'Ishra'al

Anyone can see the heavenly bodies, but we have heard from YHWH. There is no “hard copy” of Him! People want something they can identify with, which

is what makes the “god-man” concept so attractive, because it makes them think they can be gods too. We can only understand what YHWH allows us to

know about Himself, and we cannot control what we cannot comprehend. Apportioned: divided, assigned, distributed; Aramaic, "designated to serve". I.e., He gave them to all the nations and they are common (contrast v. 20).

But none of them is to be identified specifically with YHWH.

Dev 4:20 But Hashem hath taken you, and brought you forth

out of the iron furnace, even out of Mitzrayim, to be unto Him an Am Nachalah (a people of inheritance), as ye are yom hazeh.

Deut 4:20. "But YHWH has selected you, and brought you out from the crucible of iron--

from Egypt--to become His own--for the purpose of being a people [that are His own] prized possession, just as [is the case] today."

Any wood placed into a furnace for smelting iron would be consumed

immediately. Egypt completely used them up, while feeding them—like pack animals. Even the products forged of iron there—chariots—were used to kill

them. Now they were going to a place that would serve them rather than consuming them. Nothing in the Tabernacle was made of iron; YHWH had no use for it at this point. Prized possession: How awesome! Why throw away such a rare privilege and settle for something that the nations all stoop to--

nations that He considered a mere drop in the bucket in comparison

Yeshayah40:15?

Surely the Goyim are like a drop in a bucket, and are accounted as dust of the scales; surely He taketh up the iyim (islands) like fine dust.

Isa 40:15

See, nations are as a drop in a bucket, and are reckoned as dust on the balance. See, He lifts up isles as fine dust.

Page 11: CONCERNING the Y’Ishra’alite NATION of YHWH and the ELDERS of Y'Ishra'al

Today we see the illegitimate worship of these celestial bodies , within those who claim to WORSHIP YHWH

How many more times will Y’Isra’al turned to

HIS CREATION and not their CREATOR

Melachim Bais 23:5, |5| And he did away with hakemarim (the idol priests), whom the Melachim of

Yehudah had ordained to burn ketoret in the high places in the towns of Yehudah, and in the places around Yerushalayim; them also that

burned ketoret unto Ba'al, to the shemesh, and to the yarei'ach, and to the mazalot (constellations) and to all the Tzeva HaShomayim.

2 kgs 23:5

And he put down the black-robed priests whom the sovereigns of Yehudah had appointed to burn incense on the high places in the cities of Yehudah and in

the places all around Yerushalayim, and those who burned incense to Baʽal, to the sun, and to the moon, and to the constellations, and to all the host of the

heavens

Melachim Bais 23:11 And he took away the susim that the Melachim of Yehudah had dedicated to the shemesh, at the entrance of the Beis Hashem, by the chamber of Natan-

Melech the saris, which was in the colonnades, and set eish to merkevot hashemesh.

2 Ki 23:11

And he did away with the horses that the sovereigns of Yehudah had given to the sun, at the entrance to the House of YHWH, by the room of Nathan-Melek the eunuch, that were in the court. And he burned the chariots of the sun with

fire.

Yirmeyah 8:2 And they shall spread them out before the shemesh, and the yarei'ach, and all the tz'va haShomayim, whom they have loved, and whom they have served,

and after whom they have walked, and whom they have consulted, and whom they have worshiped; they shall not be gathered up, nor be buried in a kever;

they shall be like domen upon the surface of ha'adamah.

Page 12: CONCERNING the Y’Ishra’alite NATION of YHWH and the ELDERS of Y'Ishra'al

Jer 8:2; and shall spread them before the sun and the moon and all the host of the

heavens, which they have loved and which they have served and after which they have walked, which they have sought, and to which they have bowed

themselves. They shall not be gathered nor buried; they shall be for dung on the face of the earth.

And He brought me into the khatzer Beis Hashem hapenimit [i.e., the Court of the Kohanim], and, hinnei, at the petach (entrance) of the Heikhal Hashem, between the Ulam and the Mizbe'ach, were about five and twenty ish, with

their backs toward the Heikhal Hashem, and their faces toward the east; and they bowing down toward the east worshiping the sun.

Ezek 8:16 And He brought me into the inner court of the House of YHWH. And there, at the door of the Hĕkal of YHWH, between the porch and the altar, were about twenty-five men with their backs toward the Hĕkal of YHWH and their faces

toward the east, and they were bowing themselves eastward to the sun.

Yet in the creation story these celestial elements are simply taken as creatures like any others

A woman in biblical imagery is a city, meaning an organized group, a body, a social structure, a two

tiered public association composed of governors and the governed.

When YHWH covenanted with Y’Ishra’al the crucial element was the body of elders, for, as we all

know all too well, people indeed are sheep -- they follow their leaders.

Page 13: CONCERNING the Y’Ishra’alite NATION of YHWH and the ELDERS of Y'Ishra'al

So -- haven't I pointed this out before? -- the significance of Jethro's counsel to Moshe which takes

up the entire chapter preceding the chapter of the Covenant –

Shemot 18: 24.

So Moshe listened to his in-law's voice, and did all that he had said:

Though Yithro had told him to check with YHWH as to whether this was appropriate advice

Shemot 18: (v. 23),

"If you do this, and Äluahiym ordains [it for] you, then you will be able to hold up, and this [entire] people will arrive at their [own] place in one piece."

Aluahym ordains it: He would still make sure that this was consistent with what YHWH had taught him at other times. In one piece: Heb., "in shalom"--soundness, wholeness, well-being, safety, and tranquility.

Moshe immediately recognizes the advice he knew he needed as YHWH’s provision. He did not have to “pray about it”. Taking responsibility for one another is what works best for Y’Ishra’al, and Moshe accepts his advice. Moshe, the head of an entire nation, who had just conquered the most powerful nation of their day, did not let this go to his head. He listened to this desert shepherd with so little power that he could not even stop the other shepherds from hassling his daughters. But he understands organization, as one who had been “officiator of strife”, and Moshe values his experience. Moshe’s strongest attribute is that he listens well. He can tell us what to do because he does what he is told. This is what makes a leader.

Mat. 8:9

For also I am a man placed under Your authority, and I have soldiers under myself; and if I say to this one ‘Go!’ then he goes; and to another ‘Come!’ then he comes, and to my servant ‘Do this’, then he does it.”

Luwqá’ 7: 6.

And Yâhuwshúa` went together with them, but when He was not far distant from the house, the captain of a hundred sent friends towards Him, saying to Him: “My Sovereign, do not trouble Yourself, for I am not worthy in order that You should come under my roof,

Luwqá’ 7: 7.

Which is why I did neither count myself worthy to come before You, instead, say the word, and my servant shall be cured,

Luwqá’ 7: 8.

For also I am a man subject to Your authority, having soldiers under myself, and if I say to this one:

‘Go!’ Then he goes; and to another: ‘Come!’ Then he comes; and to my bondman: ‘Do this!’ Then he does it.”

Aristotle also said, “He who never learned to obey can never be an appropriate commander.”

Page 14: CONCERNING the Y’Ishra’alite NATION of YHWH and the ELDERS of Y'Ishra'al

Shemot 18:25.

that is, Moshe chose able men from among all Y’Ishra’al and made them heads over the people--wardens [by the] thousands, wardens by hundreds, wardens by fifties, and wardens by tens.

The first criteria for who should be heads is that they act in accordance with it, not who has the seminary degree or who the board of directors thinks best. Y’Ishra’al was to establish a court system before they entered the Promised Land, for we dare not have chaos there. At present YHWH is bringing forth only rulers over tens, but if we are faithful in what is least, He may reward us with greater responsibility.

Luwqá’ 16:10

He who is trustworthy for the least thing is also trustworthy for abundance. And he who is unrighteous in the least thing is also unrighteous in abundance.

We must start by holding one another responsible, but the first step is self-examination.

MattithYâ´huw7:3.

But why do you look at the splinter that is in your brother’s eye, but you do not perceive the beam in your own eye?

MattithYâ´huw7:4.

Or, how will you say to your brother,

‘Brother, let me extract the splinter from your eye’

When look! The beam is in your eye!

MattithYâ´huw7:5.

Role-faker, first extract the beam out of your own eye and then you will see clearly to extract the splinter from the eye of your brother!

Shemot 18:26.

And they decided between the people on all occasions; the difficult cases they brought to Moshe, but every minor matter they handled themselves.

He did not just give them rulings, but taught them how to discern for themselves

Shemot 18 v. 16

When they have a case [to be judged], they come to me, and I judge between a man and his fellow, and I reveal the decrees of Äluahiym, and His instructions."

The Torah is like the trunk of a large tree, which does not sway in the wind, while the decrees are like the more flexible upper branches, for they can flesh out the Torah in different ways at different times. Moshe has not yet received YHWH's confirmation of his interpretation on the mountain

Page 15: CONCERNING the Y’Ishra’alite NATION of YHWH and the ELDERS of Y'Ishra'al

Shemot (19:19),

Then what took place [was that] as the sound of the shofar became progressively very strong, Moshe spoke, and Äluahiym responded as a witness through a voice.

Äluahiym responded: The "ten words" in the next chapter are attainable because they are actually Moshe's. They are the words of a leader experienced in these very issues. That is why they are not far away; they can work for us as well. They are the words of a man who has personally shepherded more Y’Ishra’al’ites than anyone else in history. The people needed him to go up the mountain more than he needed to go. He had learned the ways of YHWH so well that he could in essence sum up the wisdom he had accumulated, and YHWH was giving His "Amen" with each of the thundering’s heard by the people. He was validating Moshe's codification of his leadership experience more than giving him new information. He grew more and more excited as He recognized the soundness of Moshe's learning, and so the sound grew louder and louder.

The same sound has continued from verse 16.

16. On the third day, indeed, when it was morning, there were [thunderous] voices and flashes, and a heavy cloud upon the mountain, and the sound of the shofar was extremely sharp, so that the whole people in the camp was shaking [with fear].

Shofar ram's horn used as a trumpet. But a man was not sounding this one!

At some point they actually came UNDER the mountain

Deut. 4:11.

"So you approached and stood beneath the mountain, with the mountain on fire, burning to the heart of heaven--thick darkness, a cloud mass, and obscuring dimness.

Beneath (or under): based on the word for "compressed", because like the crossing of the sea, they had to put themselves in a position where they could be crushed by its weight. This is probably the context for YaHuWsHua's comment that if one has faith he can tell "this mountain" to be removed. The Torah which they were accepting upon themselves here becomes not a threat hanging over their heads, but a wedding canopy for the betrothal ceremony between YHWH and Y’Ishra’al, in which the two tablets formed the ketubah (the written contract for the marriage). Moshe leads the Bride to her Husband. Velikovsky theory that the earth was passing through the tail of a comet during the exodus could explain the massive force that it would take to lift the mountain off the ground. The head of the comet would have an extremely strong gravitational pull. (It may have been what lifted the walls of water up when they passed through the Reed Sea.) The "flashes" (v. 16) may have been the exchange of electrical discharges between the comet and the earth, in a much more violent phenomenon than we usually imagine, to the point that Tehillim 18, 29, and 46 could be taken literally. Tehillim 77 actually says "the universe [itself] shook". Tehillim 68 says "Sinai itself was moved". Tehillim 97 says the "mountains melted like wax." Obviously there is something cataclysmic going on, not just an isolated east wind; that only accomplished the rapid drying of the land between the waters for them to cross the sea.

(a comet appeared at the time of the birth of YaHuWsHua, today we all fear one)

This was not until after Moshe and Aharon ascended it, apparently. But the words for base and under are based on the word for "compressed", because like the crossing of the sea, they had to put themselves in a position where they could be crushed by its weight. This is probably the context for YaHuWsHua s comment that if one has faith he can tell "this mountain" to be removed. He was referring to the potential curse in the Torah which they were accepting upon themselves here. By trust in him, it becomes not a threat hanging over their heads, but a wedding canopy for the betrothal ceremony between YHWH and Y’Ishra’al, in which the two tablets formed the ketubah (the

Page 16: CONCERNING the Y’Ishra’alite NATION of YHWH and the ELDERS of Y'Ishra'al

written contract for the marriage). Moshe, here, is the "friend of the Bride" (one of the two witnesses), who leads her to her Husband. Velikovsky theory that the earth was passing through the tail of a comet during the exodus could explain the massive force that it would take to lift the mountain off the ground. The head of the comet (others say it was a pass by of Mars when it had a different orbit before 701 B.C.E.) would have a strong enough gravitational pull (such as stood the water up into walls when they passed through the Reed Sea.) The "flashes" (v. Tehillim 97 says the "mountains melted like wax." Obviously there is something cataclysmic going on, not just an isolated east wind; that only accomplished the rapid drying of the land between the waters for them to cross the sea, and the freezing of the waters in place (15:8) after the extreme tidal force had already lifted them up.

18. The whole of Mount Sinai was smoking from before the face as YHWH descended upon it in fire. Then its smoke ascended like the smoke of a smelting forge, and the whole mountain quaked violently.

The people were not the only ones shaking anymore! A smelting furnace separates what is useful from the useless, burning away the dross and purifying the metal. Mt. Sinai is probably not the traditional site in the Sinai Peninsula (a misnomer based on this error), being too far from Midyan for Moshe to have been pasturing his in-laws' sheep there. Also, no artifacts of any sort from the Y’Ishra’al’ites' 40-year sojourn have been found in Sinai. Rather, it is more likely Jabal al-Lawz, the highest mountain just east of Midyan, which is along the northeastern coast of the Red Sea in Saudi Arabia which agrees with

Galátas 4:25

For Hâğâ´r is Mount Çiynáy in ’Aráv (Mithyâ´n, now Saudi Arabia) and corresponds to the Yruwshâláim of now, and she is in bondage with her sons;

This mountain still has remains of 12 pillars around it (see v. 12) and the top is blackened as by fire (see photo above), though it is not a volcanic mountain. Extensive archaeological research has not been permitted by the Saudi government. Hasidic sages say that if we get too near to the fire of YHWH that descends in the Torah, we will be burned, but if we stay too far away, we will become cold. But we must keep coming closer; the only way to avoid being burned up is to be fully consumed by the light instead, so that we become part of it. The more we become that light through living it out, the closer we can approach.

Jabal al-Lawz

28 degrees 41 minutes North by 35 degrees 18 minutes East

resembled this sound. Noise, flashing lights, and a "siren" are the most effective ways to get someone's attention! And no one could approach this fearsome site casually.

A normal voice or breath grows weaker as it progresses; here it is the opposite. This Shofar-like sound was also, according to Hebrew tradition, the words of the Torah going out in all 70 languages to the 70 nations besides Y’Ishra’al, but only Y’Ishra’al chose to receive them. The descendants who would later be dispersed throughout the whole world stood here within their forefathers, and it was for their sake that the nations were offered the Torah as well (cf. Romans 11). In Acts 2, traditionally on the anniversary of this date, the covenant was renewed again (as Abraham's covenant was renewed here with adaptations for the size of the nation now) with words in many languages and tongues of fire. (See 20:18) The Jewish Midrash says the Y’Ishra’al’ites were unable to see the sun during the entire time of wandering because of the thick clouds this catastrophe produced, and were

Page 17: CONCERNING the Y’Ishra’alite NATION of YHWH and the ELDERS of Y'Ishra'al

thus unable to orient themselves, in agreement with Velikovsky theory of what was physically taking place to cause this sound. He writes, "Earthquakes are often accompanied by a roaring noise that comes from the bowels of the earth...The eruptions of volcanoes are also accompanied by loud noises... The approach of two large globes [earth and the comet] toward each other could also produce Shofar like sounds, varying as the distance between them increased or lessened... According to Midrashic literature, the Shofar sounding at Mount Sinai had seven different pitches, and the rabbinical literature speaks of 'the heavenly music' heard at the revelation... The din caused by the groaning earth repeated itself again and again, but not so loud, as subterranean strata readjusted themselves after being dislocated...The papyrus Ipuwer calls these years 'years of noise...There is no end to noise.'" (Worlds in Collision) He even documents peoples as far away as China hearing a sound remarkably like the pronunciation of YHWH's Name. Responded: also means "lowered" or "paid attention". Though the sound was becoming louder, the Hebrew word for "responded" is smaller than the rest in the Masoretic text, possibly to suggest that YHWH had to diminish His intensity so they would not be "blown away" by His voice. But the strangest thing is that Moshe is the one who speaks first, and YHWH responds! He went up to hear from YHWH, but YHWH let him speak first so that the Torah that had been established in him already by Yithro could receive His seal of approval. The Torah that YHWH gave Y’Ishra’al actually came from Moshe the prophet. He had put His words into him first, but required him to speak them back to Him so they could come alive--and to this He gives His "Amen!" We are not just to receive His words, carved in stone, but to "live them back" to Him as well. We, too, bring the Torah to life by carrying it out.

but he has learned much from Yithro himself, and he already knew how to rule by virtue of having yielded to YHWH in Egypt, having seen what YHWH did to idolaters, and having been a shepherd.

This is the pattern with which YHWH gave all of His Torah. He constantly tells them to "Keep His instructions, and OBSERVE them--two different things. Yes, do them, because He said so. But then let them teach you broader principles. Learn the patterns they exemplify. A Jewish sage wrote that the particular instructions in the Torah are binding, yet they are just examples of a whole frame of mind with which all of our actions must be consistent. YaHuWsHua's "sermon on the mount" (Mattiyahu 5-7) did the same. He said, "Don't imagine that I have come to abolish the [existing] Torah, but to set it on a firmer foundation", then gave examples of how the relatively easy-to-follow commandments really require a heart attitude behind them. "The Torah in its literary sense is merely a garment, but underneath it lies a "body", which is the real heart of the matter. Moshe taught them not just the garment, but the "man" underneath who is the reason for its shape. Its purpose is to form an interface with the world for the "one new man" that YHWH is making out of a unified Y’Ishra’al.

Epheçíym 2:15

And when He rendered the enmity idle by His flesh: even the Law of the commandments by His Law Romans 7: 6,

But now we have been cleared from the Law, having died to that by which we were held fast, so that we should serve in renewal of the Raukh and not in oldness of the letter. that He might create of the two within Himself, into one new Human – He made shâlówm (peace, reconciliation, completeness);

"So Moshe hearkened to the voice of his father in law, and did all that he had said. And Moshe chose able men out of all Y’Ishra’al, and made them heads over the people, rulers of thousands, rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens. And they judged the people at all seasons: the hard causes they brought unto Moshe, but every small matter they judged themselves."

And so when YHWH concludes his proposal to Y’Ishra’al with

Shemot 19:6

Page 18: CONCERNING the Y’Ishra’alite NATION of YHWH and the ELDERS of Y'Ishra'al

and you shall become for Me a kingdom of priests, a separated nation.' These are the words which you must speak to the descendants of Y’Ishra’al."

A separated nation: in a class of its own. The very idea calls for judgment, because to separate we must discriminate between different things. We cannot just accept anything. This is not popular today, but if we are not comfortable with it, we must become so by practicing it! To be ready to hear from YHWH, we must set things apart in our minds as well. Those who refuse to judge or be judged can by definition never be set apart. As He prepares to bring her into the covenant of betrothal at Sinai, He wants her to have no doubt that He loves no one but her. He came to Egypt to get her, but did not stay; there were other Äluahiym in place there. He fought them for her, but has now carried her to His own home. Priests: to help others approach YHWH. Y’Ishra’al had its own priests (literally, officiators), but as YHWH's firstborn, the entire people was called to be a priest, or light to the nations. This is not a prophecy or a promise, but a command. It will not just fall into place if we do not make it a reality.

"These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Y’Ishra’al", what does Moshe do? Verses 7-8: "And Moshe came and called for the elders of the people, and laid before their faces all these words which the YHWH commanded him. And all the people answered together, and said, All that YHWH hath spoken we will do. And Moshe returned the words of the people unto the YHWH."

And then too this Covenant was initiated with a marriage supper. Was all Y’Ishra’al invited? No, as it says in

"Then went up Moshe, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Y’Ishra’al: And they saw the YHWH of Y’Ishra’al: and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it were the body of heaven in his clearness. And upon the nobles of the children of Y’Ishra’al he laid not his hand: also they saw YHWH, and did eat and drink. And YHWH said unto Moshe, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them. And Moshe rose up, and his minister Joshua: and Moshe went up into the mount of YHWH. And he said unto the elders, Tarry ye here for us, until we come again unto you: and, behold, Aaron and Hur are with you: if any man have any matters to do, let him come unto them."

Shemot 24:9. Then Moshe and Aharon ascended with Nadav and Avihu and 70 of the elders of Y’Ishra’al.

Shemot 24:10. And they saw the Mighty One of Y’Ishra’al, and under His feet was a [white] tilework of sapphire like the essence of heaven for clarity.

They cannot see YHWH Himself, but only His “feet”. But after learning about the foundations for judgment (21:1ff) which they were to stand on, they must have wondered what YHWH stood upon, and it turns out to be the same foundation, for "clarity" here speaks in terms of purity: These judgments will help us to see clearly if we apply them to our thought patterns. "Mighty one": Äluahiym in Hebrew, emphasizing the judging aspect of YHWH. The closer we come to Him, the more strictly we are judged and the more we are expected to judge others who say they want to come near. More is expected of the elders than the rest; only one small mistake kept Moshe himself out of the Promised Land. "Sapphire": from the word for "write" or "inscribe" and related to the word for "book" (sefer; this is also the term translated “recounted” in v. 3), recalling the Book of the Righteous

says YHWH’s throne itself is made of a sapphire. "Essence" here can mean "body", "bones" or "limbs", and "members", which immediately calls to mind the Body of the Restored (Last) Âthâ´m, of which YaHuWsHua is the head, and whose feet are His Festivals and Kingdom.

Page 19: CONCERNING the Y’Ishra’alite NATION of YHWH and the ELDERS of Y'Ishra'al

Ychezqa’l 1:26

And upward from the expanse that was above their heads, like the appearance of a sapphire stone, was something resembling a throne, and on the thing that looked like a throne was [one that] resembled a man when viewed from above.

A man: Heb., Adam. Appearance…resembled…looked like: all terminology of comparison and allegory, not literal physical entities, though they are very real.

We are becoming His Body as the dry bones rattle back together and form the whole of Y’Ishra’al, bound together as the joints and sinews find their proper place and begin connecting all the attributes of YHWH's image embodied in each one. They will finally take their place with him in the heavenlies yet standing on earth, and then (the only permissible image of) YHWH will be one (united back together) and His Name again one.

Z'kharyah 14:9

“And YHWH will come to be King over all the earth. In that day YHWH will come to be united and His Name [will only be] one.

This is what we allude to when we say while putting on tzitziyoth, binding tefillah, or shaking the lulav at Sukkoth, “For the sake of the unification of the Sacred One… in fear and love to unify the Name YH with WH in perfect unity…” No other names for YHWH will be substituted. During the thousand years that follow, the full physical realization of the reunification of His image in mankind (which was divided when Chavvah was taken out of Adam and further scattered when they sinned) will be completed.

This word for "body" is based on a root word meaning "vastly numerous", which was YHWH's promise of what Avraham's descendants--physical and metaphorical

Ber. 22:17

'That I will richly bless you, and multiply your seed exceedingly--like the stars of the heavens and the sand that is on the seashore! And your Seed shall capture the gate of his enemies.

Stars: this promise is repeated from the initial requirement that Avraham fulfilled previously. Sand: this promise was added because of this obedience to what seems to now be appended to the covenant. (v. 18; compare Yeshayahu 49:6.) YaHuwsHua, too, was rewarded and exalted by YHWH (Yeshay. 53:12; Phil. 2:11) because of his obedient action, and is counted worthy of honor by men because of it (Rev. 5:9).

Shemot 24:11.

But He did not stretch out His hand against the nobles of the sons of Y’Ishra’al; rather, they saw the Mighty One, yet they ate and drank.

Nobles: those who withdrew or were reserved; set apart ones (a reference to these 70 who were specially called aside to come a step closer to YHWH than the rest of the congregation). Aramaic: "The leaders... were not injured, and they perceived the glory of Äluahiym, and they rejoiced in their sacrifices which were accepted. Like Hadassah (Esther), they knew they could die, but still went into the King’s presence, and were spared because their attitude was right.

Compare

Yirmeyahu 23:4;

“‘And I will station over them shepherds who will shepherd them, and they will never again be afraid or terrified, nor will they be missing,’ declares YHWH.

Shepherds: plural—those over thousands, hundreds, fifties, and tens.

Shemot 18:21

"And you [should carefully] search out able men from among all the people, who hold Aluahym in reverence--reliable men who are hater of unjust gain, and set [these] over them [as] wardens [by the] thousands, wardens by hundreds, wardens by fifties, and wardens by tens.

Search out: literally, look hard, and it sometimes holds the connotation of seeing as in a vision or trance. I.e., this may be Raukhual knowledge as much as it is asking for character witness. He could tell by their existing fruit, for they would have already proven themselves haters of unjust gain by their actions. There were people like this among the whiners; they were just outweighed by the more vocal majority. Able men: not just experienced, but "forceful", "strong", "full of resolve", not "pushovers", and able to resist the temptation of bribery and to handle the criticism that would inevitably come with the job of being a judge, as people resent being ruled over, even benevolently. The term can also mean "wealthy", and if they were already wealthy, they would be less tempted to accept bribes. A judge of Y’Ishra’al must be sturdy and resilient, for the restraint he brings saves the nation. Hold Äluahiym in reverence: or fear; if they had a strong awareness that they were answering to one higher still, they would not be likely abuse their power. To fully restore returning Y’Ishra’al, we must bring back this sense of honor and hierarchy that YHWH ordained. Until this point there was no

Page 21: CONCERNING the Y’Ishra’alite NATION of YHWH and the ELDERS of Y'Ishra'al

consistent organizational structure in Y’Ishra’al except the tribe, clan, and family. Yithro is showing them the type of structure that controls strife and contention: make them responsible for one another and make everyone accountable to someone close to him. "Tens" would refer to families and households, more likely ten men with their families than ten individuals cut across natural family lines. The "small claims judges" who presided over only ten men would know them much more intimately, and be able to recognize much more quickly when they were "bluffing" or whether the allegation was out of character for the accused. Petty arguments would also be taken care of quickly--"nipped in the bud"--rather than wasting the time of those who had larger responsibilities. Under each ruler of a thousand, there would be 130 other rulers. 130 is the numerical value of the word "Sinai", as well as the Hebrew word ya'amdu, which means "they will stand". David divided all of the Levites in Y’Ishra’al into 24 divisions (1 Chron. 24), and they were to oversee the rulers of thousands. They were called "the standing men" . Y’Ishra’al does not choose its leaders; Moshe (the Torah)is authorized to choose for us. Their first qualification is fear of YHWH.

Y’ishra’al will finally be organized the way He wants it. The message of “no fear” is what will nourish them. Missing: or, lacking anything (either of provision or of any aspect of truth, since they will be taught its fullness; . THEN the King can come…

Zech. 10:9

“Though I sow them among the peoples, they will remember Me [while] in the far-off [places], and they will survive along with their children, and come back.

Survive: or, be revived (restored to life or health). I.e., those who are hearing YHWH’s call to come back to being Y’Ishra’al’ites after being Gentiles for so many generations, not just their children, will have the strength to participate in the restored Kingdom in the Land, as Kalev was as able at eighty to enjoy his inheritance after his whole generation had died off, because he had confidence in YHWH.

Zech. 10:10.

“I will even bring them back out of the land of Egypt and gather them away from Ashur, and bring them into the land of Gil’ad and Levanon, and no [room] will be found for them!

No room will be found: This is also very steep, hilly terrain that receives ample snow, so in this sense also the land would be unable to sustain a large population.

Amos 9:9

Because here I am, giving the order; indeed, I have sifted the House of Y’Ishra’al among all the nations, just as one sifts [grain] in a sieve, yet not a grain will fall to earth.

Not a grain will fall to earth: or, not a parcel of land will fall. YHWH is concerned even for one lost sheep. (Luke 15:4-6) But alternately, He determined where the seed would take root and where it would not; He sowed us in some places for strategic reasons and allowed us to bear fruit, while others from Y’Ishra’al He allowed to be destroyed, perhaps because of the seriousness or nature of their particular sins.

Eating a meal together was the common way to enact a covenant in the known world at this time. Even our community meals on the Sabbath are expressions of our commitment to His covenant. If

Page 22: CONCERNING the Y’Ishra’alite NATION of YHWH and the ELDERS of Y'Ishra'al

we read 20:11-12 without a break between “Remember the Sabbath” and “honor your father”, we see that these meals are also shared with YHWH, so we must bring Him our best.

Shemot 24:12.

Then YHWH said to Moshe, "Come up to Me on the mountain, and when you get there, I will give you the slabs of stone and the Torah, and the commandments which I have written in order to teach them.

Torah means "instruction" rather than “law” as such. We must keep His words alive by continually breathing them out to the rest of His people.

Shemot 24:13.

So Moshe rose up, accompanied by Y’hoshua his attendant. Then Moshe ascended to the mountain of Äluahiym.

The last time we saw Y’hoshua, he was fighting for Y’Ishra’al against Amaleq. Now he suddenly (as far as the text is concerned) appears out of nowhere. On the physical level, he had probably simply accompanied Moshe from the start. Though he is a war hero in his own right, he attends menially to Moshe’s every need, in complete submission as his protégé and student. He is so loyal to Moshe that they cannot be separated. YHWH did not mention bringing him, unless he is one of the 70, but Moshe assumes he should. After this, Y’hoshua is not mentioned until they come down (32:17), but he turns out to have been with Moshe behind the scene the entire time he was on the mountain. We could say no distinction is made between them. He is a picture of the covenant being renewed and strengthened, for Y’hoshua is the same name of which YaHuWsHua is a shortened form. Moshe represents the Torah, and the two travel together because they are in agreement. (Amos 3:3) Wherever the Torah is, we will find the Messiah, but he is pointing us back to it.

Shemot 24:14.

And he told the elders, "Wait here for us until we return to you. Look, Aharon and Chuwr are with you. If any ruler has a [legal] issue, let him approach them."

The "light-bearer" and the one whose name means "white linen" stand in Moshe's place as the final arbiters while he is on the mountain. These are the two men who held up Moshe’s hands while Y’hoshua fought in battle. (17:10) Chuwr seems to have a higher priority here than even Nadav and Avihu, who were specifically summoned by name. He may have been the chief among the 70 elders, and in the same relation to Aharon as Y’hoshua was to Moshe. In any case, those who serve most are given the most authority in his kingdom. Wait here: Many people below did not wait for Moshe (ch. 32), and did not survive to experience the blessings of Torah.

Though fallible men occupy the offices in this structure as it is manifested down here below, the structure has been there in heaven all along ("In my Father's house are many mansions"). The woman in Revelation 12 is both this heavenly city and her earthly counterpart (verse 12): "Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time."

The Kingdom awaits two particulars: It awaits personnel qualified to fill those offices in that Sacred edifice (as made plain in so many of Annoited's parables), and it awaits the day when the structure of authority down here below is ready for her YHWH.

That there is indeed a distinction between the Y’Ishra’alite nation and the elders of Y’Ishra’al was plain when YaHuWsHua entered Yahrushaliyim to become our Passover Lamb: "the multitudes" cried out with the words of the messianic Tehillim (

Page 23: CONCERNING the Y’Ishra’alite NATION of YHWH and the ELDERS of Y'Ishra'al

Mt 21:9

"Blessed is he that cometh in the name of YHWH ".

The elders of Y’Ishra’al, however, did not. Instead they killed him. So what delays his coming now? The elders of Y’Ishra’al! Just as he told them (Mt 23:39), "Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of YHWH.“

Dawyid set the example. He would not take YHWH's Kingdom by force, and neither will his Son.

And therefore the Alijah ministry. Alijah and the prophets prophesied but Y’Ishra’al did not repent. John prophesied but Y’Ishra’al did not repent. The third time, however, Y’Ishra’al will repent

Yeshayahu 40:1

Comfort, console My people", says your Äluahiym.

Aramaic, "Prophets, prophesy consolations to My people…"

Yeshayahu 40:2.

Speak to the heart of Yerushalayim, and proclaim to her that her [need to] go forth to war has been satisfied--that [the consequence for] her iniquity has been paid off--because she has received from YHWH's hand double on all her sins.

That her need…has been satisfied: Aramaic, “that she is about to be filled with people of her exiles”. So even in YaHuWsHua’s day the expectation of the return was in the forefront of the interpreters’ hearts. Double: from a word for “folding over”, so she has come back to the starting point and can therefore start afresh. This is a reference to the sentence given in Yirmeyahu 16:18. The LXX says that it is the priests that YHWH is addressing here.

Yeshayahu 40:3.

"A voice calls out in the uninhabited land, 'Clear YHWH's path! Level off a highway for our Äluahiym in the Aravah!

This is a command, not a promise. The Aravah: the deep Yarden Valley that needs to be crossed in order for both houses of Y’Ishra’al to return from Mt. Sinai, Sela (Petra), and Botzrah to Yerushalayim. Such a highway is reportedly in the planning. The escarpments on both of its sides have much steep and rough terrain. The Aravah is also exactly where Yochanan the Immerser preached repentance

Mat. 3:1-3

Now in those days Yâhuwchânâ´n the Immerser, a herald, called within the uninhabited land of Yâhuwthâ´h, Saying: “Make a turnaround in your lives, for the Kingdom of YHWH is being offered to you!” For this is the one, spoken of through Yshá`Yâhuw the predicator, saying: “A voice of one calling is in the uninhabited land: ‘Prepare The Way of YHWH! Make ye straight in the desert a public way to our mighty Ones!’”

and this is the first step in repairing the road worthy of the return of the King.

Yeshayahu 40:4

Page 24: CONCERNING the Y’Ishra’alite NATION of YHWH and the ELDERS of Y'Ishra'al

'Every valley will be lifted up, and every mountain and hill will be humbled. The steep places will be made level, and the impasses broken through.

Steep places: Aram., “uneven ground”--also an allegory of the proud being brought low and the humble exalted. Yochanan was one instance of the Messenger YHWH sent before YaHuWsHua’s face Mal. 3:1

Immersion pictures dying to self, which clears the way for His Kingdom. But there is a Raukh of Eliyahu that precedes Messiah’s second coming, and its purpose and message are the same. The more we die to self, the more quickly we can restore the original building materials and reopen the ancient pathways by which the messengers of Äluahiym can ascend and descend.

Yeshayahu 40:5.

Then YHWH's authority will be revealed, and all flesh will see it, joined together, because YHWH's mouth has spoken.'"

“Flesh” typically emphasizes our mortality. “All flesh in union” may refer to those who have chosen the fleshly path, who at the end of this age will unify against the Messiah. They are already beginning to think they are immortal and YHWHs in their own right. The following prophecy is tailored to them:

Yeshayahu 40:6.

A voice is saying, "Proclaim!" But he said, "What shall I proclaim?"

"All flesh is grass, and all its nicety is like a flower of the field.

Yeshayahu 40:7.

Grass dries up; a flower droops when the breath of YHWH blows on it. Truly the people is grass!

Breath: or Raukh. The other side of this allegory is that when YHWH’s Raukh moves, the fleshly (corrupt) part of us is killed off. When grass is green, it is not very strong, but when it dies it takes on strength that, when woven together with other pieces, can make a useful vessel for the Master’s use, which in the long run is much more beneficial than a handful of grass. “He who loses His life for My sake will find it.”

Mat. 10:39

He that has found his self shall lose it, and he that has lost his self on account of Me shall find it.

But grass woven while still green will warp and buckle when it dries. This is why we need to die to self before a people fit for YHWH can be built.

Yeshayahu 40:8.

"Grass dries up; a flower droops, but the word of our Äluahiym will be established forever.

Some things do not last, as beautiful as they may be. You will die, and you cannot control this, but you can line up with what is eternal and keep passing that on to those who will follow you.

Yeshayahu 40:9.

Page 25: CONCERNING the Y’Ishra’alite NATION of YHWH and the ELDERS of Y'Ishra'al

"Get yourself up onto a high mountain, O Tzion, bearer of good news! Raise your voice powerfully, O Yerushalayim, bearer of good news! Raise it! Don't be afraid! Say to the cities of Yehudah, 'Here is your Äluahiym!'"

Here is your Äluahiym: Aramaic, "The Kingdom of your Äluahiym is revealed!"

Yeshayahu 40:10.

Indeed, the Master YHWH will come with strength, and His Arm will exercise dominion for Him. His wage is with Him, and His compensation is in front of His face.

His Arm: often seen as an idiom for the Messiah, who visibly enforces YHWH's rules.

Yeshayahu 40:11.

He will lead His flock to pasture like a shepherd; He will gather the lambs together with His Arm and support them in His lap, and those who are nursing young He will lead [little by little to a place of rest where there is water].

Like a shepherd: compare Y’hezq’al 34. Gather: compare 11:12; Micha 2:12; Yirmeyahu 23:3; 31:10; Hoshea 8:10. Little by little: Ya’aqóv also said he would let his family travel at the pace of the smallest ones. (Ber. 33:13-14)

This also will be true of Y’Ishra’al before YaHuWsHua comes. Hence the prophetic significance of the reading of Ecclesiastes on the Feast of Tabernacles: Someday the message will click. Then YHWH will tabernacle with men.

We need to keep in mind the centrality of Yerushalayim in all this because that's where it will happen not in Rome nor in London nor in Pasadena. YaHuWsHua told his Tehillim

And ‘repentance unto release from sins by His name’ should be proclaimed unto all the heathen masses, beginning from Yruwshâláim, And ye are witnesses of these things. And look! I will send forth the promise of My Father upon you; but ye shall remain within the city of Yruwshâláim until that ye shall be invested with Force from `Äluahiym” "And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Yerushalayim. And ye are witnesses of these things. And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Yerushalayim, until ye be endued with power from on high." [What if they had gone back to Galilee early? What if they had not commemorated Sinai in the upper room?]

And it is in Yerushalayim that the dark deception that clouds and befuddles humanity will be smashed

Yshá`Yâhuw 25:7

And on this mountain He has engulfed the face of the covering that envelops all peoples, and the web that is woven over all nations.

Aramaic, "The face of the great one who is master over all peoples, the face of the king who rules all nations will be annihilated on this mountain." I.e., the Counterfeit Messiah will be destroyed on Mt. Tzion (v. 5). Web: or veil. Nations: or "Gentiles". On Mt. Moryah, which is connected to Tzion and thus considered one with it, YaHuWsHua was crucified, and the veil of His flesh (Heb. 10:20) was torn, at which time Gentile soldiers became aware that He was Äluahiym Son. (Matt. 27:51ff) Nearby,

Page 26: CONCERNING the Y’Ishra’alite NATION of YHWH and the ELDERS of Y'Ishra'al

after His resurrection, it was a "face covering" that convinced His Tehillim that He had indeed risen from the dead. (Yochanan 20:7) Moshe had to put a veil over his face to hide the fact that the evidence of having been in YHWH's presence was fading away. (2 Cor. 3:11-14) Paul, who was blinded by a view of the unfading face of YaHuWsHua, says the same type of veil remains over anyone who reads the Hebrew Scriptures until people turn to the Messiah. Another kind of eye-covering is to be removed when the Northern Kingdom returns to the covenant. (Rom. 11:25) He longs to reveal YHWH's presence to us, but this will not happen magically, just as when the veil in the Temple was torn, a way was opened into the Sacred Place where we can serve YHWH, but we still have to enter in. Through YaHuWsHua, we are free to look behind the veil at the treasures YHWH hid for kings to search out. We have been made kings and priests (Rev. 1:6), but most choose not to do so, because they do not wish to look into the depths of the Hebrew Scriptures or the Temple, which both give us multitudes of details about who He is (Luk. 24:44) and who we can now be through Him--one new man. We are called to be that man, and no longer walk like Gentiles who have a darkened understanding. (Eph. 4:17ff). Priests and kings in Y’Ishra’al are servants, not overlords.

"And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the vail that is spread over all nations."

YHWH will not fight "his own" in Yerushalayim -- he will rescue them. YaHuWsHua promised

And when ye see Yruwshâláim being encircled by armies

So YHWH told me, “Out of the north will an evil be unleashed upon all those dwelling in the Land,

Though Babylon is east of Yehudah, the fertile crescent by which its armies would travel there would make them approach Yehudah from the north. The “north” can also mean “treasury” in Hebrew, so He was simply using one of the tools He had created—the Babylonian army—to carry out His discipline on Yehudah. (See Havaquq 1) Judgment often comes out of the north in Scripture.

YirmYâ´huw 1: 15.

“because here I am, calling to all the families of the kingdoms of the north,” declares YHWH. “When they come, each will set up his seat at the entrance to the gates of Yerushalayim, and against all its walls all around, and against all the cities of Yehudah.

Set up his seat (or throne) at the entrance to the gates: i.e., take authority over all the decisions affecting the city. The gate is a place of judgment, so YHWH is using these other kings as His means to render His judgment:

YirmYâ´huw 1: 16.

But when fugitives among them slip away to safety, they will all be in a commotion on the mountains like doves of the gorges, each in his own guilt.

Mountains: here, probably the idolatrous worship-sites—counterfeits of the mountain where YHWH appointed as “a place for His Name”. If they are not part of the remnant wrapped up in the corners of YHWH’s garment, the punishment will still catch up with them even if they escaped once.

Some in Yudah escape the troubles to come. What of the rest?
