Mission:Our mission is to strengthen our community through children and families by building positive relationships, creating opportunities

for growth and developing an impactful culture of learning for ALL.

Vision: Preparing all students for bright and prosperous futures by deliberately and intentionally providing rigorous and relevant instruction in every classroom, every day.

Goals:By June 2020 Nashville Elementary School students will develop and continuously improve early literacy skills, reading comprehension and math computation and problem solving skills as demonstrated by increasing EOG proficiency by 5-7 percent in math, reading and science. By June 2020 Nashville Elementary School will reduce office behavioral referrals by 10% thereby increasing instructional time in the classroom for all students. Core Function: Multi-Tiered System of Support ComponentsEffective Practice: Building the Capacity/Infrastructure for Implementation

A1.03 The LEA/School promotes a school culture in which professional collaboration is valued and emphasized by all.(5084)

Implementation Status Assigned To Target Date

Initial Assessment:Daily common planning time for each grade level. Monthly staff meetings and PLC meetings occur on a regular basis. However, vertical planning time is harder to schedule and secure as is extended planning times for grade levels with the inclusion of the EC teachers.

Limited Development 07/11/2019

How it will lookwhen fully met: Grade levels will have consistent opportunities for extended planning

sessions along with resource and EC teachers. Vertical planning sessions will occur each semester.

Amy Parker 05/29/2020

Actions 0 of 3 (0%)7/15/19 Peer observations will be scheduled and completed as a means of

differentiating instructional rounds. Staff will complete two peer observations per semester and will observe using a feedback and reflection form aligned to professional development on the gradual release model and NRMPS instructional framework. Teachers will provide feedback to the peer and reflect on the impact for their professional practice.

Caroline Aycock 04/30/2020

Notes: Caroline Aycock will develop a google form for providing feedback to the teacher as well as a reflection form for professional growth for the observer. She will coordinate with Instructional Coach and PD plan.

7/15/19 Schedule an extended planning period and create a structured approach for each session, a minimum of two times per semester for each grade level. Inclusion and resource teachers should be provided this opportunity with each grade level.

Quintin Mangano 05/30/2020

Notes: This schedule will need to either utilize Teacher Assistants from kindergarten or the use of Title I funds to provide substitutes when grade levels are in planning. The time will need to be determined based on how we cover classrooms. We can extend planning by 30, 45 or 60 minutes however the length of this time will most likely increase the impact on the school at large so this should be discussed to determine the best possible way to manage the process. Also a structure for the extended planning time will need to be created and consistently executed.

Page 3: Comprehensive Progress Report...Comprehensive Progress Report 11/18/2019! = Past Due Objectives KEY = Key Indicator ... computation and problem solving skills as demonstrated by increasing

7/15/19 Schedule vertical planning meetings and create a structured approach/agenda for each session a minimum of two times per semester.

Caroline Aycock 06/14/2020

Notes: These will be scheduled either after school in place of staff meetings or on built in mandatory workdays. They should last a minimum of one hour and grade levels will have input on agenda items.

KEY A4.16 The school develops and implements consistent, intentional, and on-going plans to support student transitions for grade-to-grade and level-to-level.(5134)

Implementation Status Assigned To Target Date

Initial Assessment:A Kindergarten transition plan, including activities in collaboration with local daycares, is being implemented. Spring semester transition events include fifth grade middle school orientation and a parent night that provides information for the next grade up. Kindergarten registration is held on site and provides information for the week long Reddy Freddy summer program for rising Kindergartners. Summer Scholars camp for rising sixth graders is also available.

Limited Development 10/25/2018

How it will lookwhen fully met: Grade specific events will be in place, yield a high attendance rate, and

be held annually for incoming Kindergartners and rising middle school students.

Evidence will include but not be limited to written transition plans, sign in sheets for attendees, and parent invitations/notifications.

KEY C3.04 The LEA/School has established a system of procedures and protocols for recruiting, evaluating, rewarding, and replacing staff.(5168)

Implementation Status Assigned To Target Date

Initial Assessment:NCEES evaluation rubric and schedule is used for teacher evaluations. We work with local colleges and universities to provide placements for student teachers. The public is kept abreast of our celebrations, shout-outs and school events through our social media accounts. This also serves as a recruitment tool for teacher prospects. An interview team is used to screen candidates for filling vacancies and follows the district protocol for hiring practices.

KEY A4.01 The school implements a tiered instructional system that allows teachers to deliver evidence-based instruction aligned with the individual needs of students across all tiers.(5117)

Implementation Status Assigned To Target Date

Initial Assessment: Extensive curriculum for math and reading are provided by the district, however, not all teachers across grade levels are implementing programs with complete fidelity. How it will lookwhen fully met:

Teachers will use curriculum maps along with system resources with fidelity to support all learners (Tier1) and staff will participate in school-wide planning sessions. Teachers will administer research-based interventions with fidelity to at risk students (Tier2). Teachers will provide accommodations and modifications for students who are identified as EC and/or (Tier3). Teachers will evaluate data introspectively to identify areas of improvement within their practice--the learner is considered as a point of issue last.
