Production & Supply of Concrete including pumping and placing
Concrete is manufactured at a Centralized Batching Plant of 30 - 60 cum capacity
within the Client’s working area and transported to pouring point at construction site by
transit mixers.
The mix design for various grades of concrete is normally provided by the Client,
however RVAGIL provides fully functional laboratory and complete technical back for
designing the various grades of concrete.
Cement is procured as per the technical specifications from reputed cement
manufacturers or otherwise is provided by the Client. Aggregates (from approved
Source) and water will be procured from local sources, subject to their physical and
chemical properties are maintained within the acceptable limits. Admixture from
reputed manufacturers will be used in concrete to achieve the workability, and slump
retention of the concrete.
Transit mixers will carry the concrete upto the place of pouring. Concrete pouring may
be done in different methods e.g. boom placer, concrete pump, crane-bucket
arrangement, through steel chutes and manually.
Number of Batching plants will vary as per project requirement. The plant will have
adequate arrangement of cement and admixture storage, water vat, aggregate bins etc.
Cement go-down of suitable size to accommodate 15 days stock shall be set up and
consumption will be monitored to follow first in first out system.
Site laboratory will be maintaining the quality of concrete-production on a daily basis.
It will be used for conducting necessary tests on incoming materials besides monitoring
the mixing process, accuracy of weighing system, moisture, temperature and quality of
final produced concrete. The Batching plant & all other related equipment will be
calibrated from time to time to ensure proper working. Calibration check of equipments
will be carried out as per calibration plan. During summer water sprinkling to be done

PREFACE
It is said that the world is different on paper creating and this something is realized in the two months of my summer training. The knowledge that I gained form the text is useful only if we implement it in practical life.
The project was one such experience where I got to implement what I had studied in books. The project ‘RVAGIL - Scope and Overview’ has been very extensive.
I would like to say that I am feeling overwhelmed and privileged to present the report that is my first work in the corporate world.
I would like to pay my sincere thanks to all those who gave me constructive suggestions for the improvement of all the aspects related to this project.
In particular, I would like to thank Mr. H.C. Joshi for assisting me to carry on project work. I also owe a great deal of thanks to my parents who always boosted my morale and encouraged me the suggestion period to this project.
I have a great pleasure and thanking all the faculty members as well for their generous help in this project.
