• One focus is post secondary education for students affected with autism and other developmental disabilities
• We came to teach about money management and business skills
• Students made bracelets and key chains to sell on and off campus
• Easy to follow 5-Step process
5-Step Process• Step 1: Cut fishing line 12”• Step 2: Choose bottom bead or
charm and put on fishing line• Step 3: Choose animal bead and
thread on fishing line on top of bottom bead and through both threads
• Step 4: Add additional beads to make a 2 ½” key chain
• Step 5: Add keychain using knots
Heifer International
• An organization that helps people in third world countries– People can buy animals
that can be donated to the countries in need
• Helped BCIU donate animals to countries in need around the world
BCIU Sales• One day of sales completed
– 12 key chains and 39 bracelets for $3 each• Four more sales days scheduled • As word spreads, there will be more to come
Program Sustainability
• Work towards long-term success – Recruit new members– Talent development
• Have experience to carry on S.I.F.E. at Delaware Valley College
Conclusion• Programs, projects, and fundraisers were very
