It was invaluable to meet with other home owners and share ideas for keeping the night safe for everyone. Cruise Nite was safer around our property last year and we expect the e ect to be stronger this July. Community Partners made that happen.

Community Partners has the unique ability to draw together the players needed to address a large challenge like the crowds drawn by the post-Cruise Night gatherings. Landlords, law enforcement, city government representatives from each group were able to communicate directly, and that wouldnt have happened without Community Partners.

Bu alo County Community Partners has taken the lead role in the successful application process for Americas Best Communities. Being recognized as one of Americas Best Communities has tremendous

potential for the Kearney area as we work through work force, housing, transportation, and career center projects. Community Partners has been critical to our success to date and a driving force as we move forward in the process. -Stan Clouse, Mayor, Kearney

As parents, talking with our kids is one of the most important ways we can in uence whether they use drugs or alcohol. We also know how important it is to have the extended support of our

families and friends reinforcing those same values in our kids, and how much more di cult it is when we are doing it alone without that extended support. Bu alo County Community Partners helps support our families by o ering educational resources for teens and families talking about substance abuse issues for the rst time, from those just needing a little inspiration to those who are in the middle of crisis. And then they widen that circle of reinforcement by challenging our community to see the bene ts we all gain by taking an active and responsible role in promoting positive behavior together.
