Four students of 2nd ESO went to Newcastle and participated in a Comenius project, with four other schools from Germany, France, Great Britain and Turkey.

We stayed in Newcastle for one week and we went in the Woodlawn School.

For this project we had to film a movie.

where we were crossing the

bridge happily . Later, we recited

poems in front of the camera. In the afternoon, we taught how to sing “Bon Dia” to the other students and teachers.

REFLECTIONS {Georgina}

This trip was a fantastic experience. I stayed with the Wilson family; Moya, the grandmother, Astrid, the granddaughter and Pippin, the dog. Time with them was fantastic and I wish to be there again soon. The school was wonderful, all the people was friendly and gentle. The rest of the students:

French, German and Turkish were very nice and we made a big family. However, I’m planing exchanges with some of them soon.

English for me was easy to understand and my pronunciation made a big change as my vocabulary.

I wish to return there, meet friends again and all of that. And may be to retourn to sing with Astrid because she loved too.

REFLECTIONS [Mar]

This experience was fantastic, like a present.

I stayed with Foreman family Peter, the father; Anne, the mum (she works in Woodlawn school); Luke, the grandson; Alex and Martha, the little daughter. The family was lovely, funny and nice.

The school was great. The students were very friendly and happy with our visit. We met with French, German and Turkish students all of them were really nice, funny and friendly.

Firstable, was difficult for me to understand english, because people spoke very quickly, but gradually I got used to the language.

REFLECTIONS {aina}

This trip was excellent, fantastic and unforgettable.

I stayed with a wonderful family. There are 4. Sonya (mother and employee of the school), Ann (father), Freya (the big sister), Eren (the little sister) and for finally, Haimish (the hamster).

This family was very polite and likeable and I hope to see them again.

The school was surprising because this school was perfect. It was equipped with all necessary equipment for the disabled kids and the kids were glad for our visit.

Finally, we met some very nice people. There are the other students that we became good friends, especially with the French.

REFLECTIONS {Laura}I think this trip was an excellent experience that helped me to start being more

independent and not so shy. Actually, I think I would repeat it if I had the opportunity to go there again. Newcastle was a beautiful city with lots of original buildings, for example, a school was an UFO! I also enjoyed meeting people from other cultures very much.

In addition, the family I stayed with, was very kind, nice and funny. In that house we were 10: Nicola (the mother), Ken (the dad), Lilly (who was disable and 7 years old), Bailee (the youngest in the house, who was 6), Maddison (who was 8) and Drew (who was 12), 2 dogs, a cat, some fish and me; as you can see, we were a lot!. As I said before, they were all very kind. Somedays they took me to special places. On Monday we went to the bowling alley. On Wednesday we went shopping and on Thursday we went to a Chinese restaurant, it was delicious! They also gave me lots of presents and the girls made me a postcard for my birthday, I won’t forget them for sure. Actually, I miss them a lot.
