Room set up: Sally Room clean up: all ****************************************************************************************************************** In Georgie's memory, we are donating “The Big Book of Table Toppers” by Karen M. Burns, to the Montrose Regional Library. Georgie loved making table runners and always made two at at time. One for her entry table and one for her dining room table. A lot of Georgies quilts involved using fabric with fruit prints. Staying in line with her love of fruit fabric, I have cut up some apple fabric and would love to have each of you make a block out of it, in Georgies memory. Please take a piece of fabric home, and make any size block that you like. It will all be put together and used for a special project, later this year.

Black Canyon Quilt Show News

Entry Forms, available on line, are due June 1. Due to the great amount of effort involved in typing,

early entries are greatly appreciated. Our efforts keep on giving! Several years ago the Boutique proceeds went to the Montrose Regional Library. We can be proud to have had a part in helping contribute $15,000 worth of 1,002 items to the library system in 2018. A few weeks ago a list of books most recently purchased with the interest income from the Black Canyon Quilt Show Permanent Book Fund was received. I am going to run with Barb's idea of finishing UFO's. Let's go through our sewing rooms and find our UFO's

and make a list of them. Bring that list to the January meeting. I will collect those list and put them in a folder.

As you finish the UFO and share at a meeting I will check it off your list and put your name in for a drawing at

our October meeting for a prize. The more UFO'S you finish the more chances you have.

Update - 25th Anniversary Round Robin Quilt Challenge Progress is slow, but too early to worry. Consider accepting this challenge and be a part of the fun. Bold print below shows what we are now waiting to see completed next. The 4 blocks were: 1. Gentleman’s Fancy - taken by Judy Sudduth…(needs piecing and return) 2. Ribbon Star Patch - taken by Cheryl Yergler and Cheryl brought it back. 3. Snails Trail Four Patch - taken and finished by Evelyn, Sally Nichols - finished next border, Barbara Cencich - finished next several borders, Paula Millsapps added an hour glass block border (now it needs someone to add a last border and/or quilt and finish)… 4. Country Angel - taken, finished and added a border by Barbara Cencich, Cheryl Yergler - finished next several borders, Rebecca Chatham now has it…(needs next border and return) If you get stuck or need ideas or suggestions bring them to the next meeting, we have lots of experience to pull from. We hope to see these appear as often as possible and finally completed for the October Anniversary. We’ve got a great start on this project. Yea! Paula
