Counseling & Support ServicesThe Coronado Middle School Counseling Program provides direct and indirect services to students, and collaborates with parents, teachers, and the larger community. School counselors work to support the WHOLE student and build a foundation for learning by assisting students to develop a growth mindset, self-respect, and other-awareness, qualities which align with the 8 Keys of Excellence.

BRIDGE Schedule 2020
T3: Triton Team TimeOn Campus
Four days a week, T3 is included in students’ daily schedules, similar to a “homeroom” or “advisory” period. T3 is a time when students can connect with teachers and each other, strengthen social-emotional skills, focus on the 8 Keys and form a community of invested and supportive learners.
It’s essential that students feel connected, valued, and supported as they navigate BRIDGE.
➔ Connect with peers and build community, inclusivity and belonging through team-building activities and social-emotional lessons connected to our Eight Keys of Excellence
➔ View the daily KCMS broadcast for important announcements and celebrations
➔ Learn how to navigate PowerSchool and curriculum and learning platforms, organizational skills, and structure the week ahead
➔ Ask questions and have teacher and team support➔ Participate in school-wide competitions and spirit events➔ Develop, monitor, and achieve personal and academic
goals

Be aware that inappropriate uses of the technology/electronic devices and the network include, but are not limited to the following:
● Using electronic devices for cheating: Copying, file sharing, plagiarizing, printing copies of work for other students to earn credit
● Cyber bullying: using technology to harass and/or intimidate students in/out of school● Texting ● Taking pictures or video with technology or camera without teacher permission● Displaying inappropriate language or images via screen, background, screen savers,
marquee and icons● Altering any settings on school owned devices
Zoom - Students will:● Only use the app through classlink during school● Follow CMS Dress Code● Be visible with camera on and participate during the session● Not share, type, do or say inappropriate words, gestures or images● Not make fun of, harass, insult, mimic, etc. other students and hosts/teachers● Not screenshot, record, or copy images of the sessions without permission
School Supplies: All students are recommended to have the following school supplies. Other specific supplies may be suggested by each teacher.

The transition to middle school is an exciting and complex time. Students are experiencing rapid growth mentally, physically,
socially and emotionally.
● Celebrate successes and resilience!● Have open conversations to validate fears and anxiety● Although they may be fighting for independence, providing
support by being consistent, having a routine/structure at home and monitor grades and work.
● Communicate w/ teachers and become familiar with PowerSchool● Monitor technology-i.e. phones, social media, laptops.● Keep your communication and connection strong.
