Observations:• Looking at the data for one

analog link, a large fraction of the 32 strips are affected by the large signal deposit (example picture A3).

• A signal detection and masking for accurate CM calculation (CM=average) is required.

• Outliers can be masked in two many different ways:

– Detection with a fixed threshold (all strips fixed and the same threshold)

• For example signal is required to pass +10ADC counts after pedestal subtraction

– Detection with a second iteration and a fixed threshold (eg Average subtraction, threshold based signal masking, average calculation and subtraction
