4-H members and families,

Happy New Year! Our 4-H program is already off to a strong start. Isn’t it neat to see a new calendar year?

There are only a few days left for online enrollment. Please make sure that your family is re-enrolled, both adult volunteers and 4-H youth. We will be using the 2017 membership data for all future communications and you don’t

want to be left out! Online enrollment will end JANUARY 15th!

Project Nights begin again in January and many wonderful volunteers have stepped up to teach our workshops. See January & February classes inside this newsletter. Any 4-H member or volunteer may teach at project night. We can help you schedule, get supplies and spread the word. An important thing to remember is that each class is a minimum of one hour, so you may need to prepare more than one activity to fill the time. If your 4H member is planning to attend a class, PLEASE RSVP BY THE REGISTRATION DATE. We want to ensure each child has materials to complete the project.

Volunteers, please take notice of the many volunteer training opportunities that are being offered by the state. These include livestock leader, fair judge training and science leader trainings. Educators from around the state and our state 4-H specialists have dedicated many hours perfecting these trainings to help “Make the Best Better”. I hope we have a good representation of Harrison County at each one.
