    Title : PLANNED CLINICAL INSTRUCTION

    Placement : Clinical Practicum 102-A

    Duration : 306 hours

    COURSE DESCRIPTION:The course deals with the skills in:(1) Management of normal pregnancy, labor and delivery, puerperium; and the careof the newborn;(2) Counseling in family planning and responsible parenthood; and(3) Intravenous insertion, vaginal examination and suturing.

    GENERAL OBJECTIVE:

    At the end of the semester, students should have the skills, knowledge, attitude,

    and values on health promotion and identification and management of risk factorsand apply principles in caring for pregnant woman, woman in labor, woman in thestage of delivery, newborn infant and post partum mothers, must also possess bothscientific and intellectual honesty with deep personal commitment so the safety ofthe patient will never be compromised.
