This mis-sion is 100% funded by parishioner contribution and 100% of contributions go directly to those in need. If you miss the second collection opportunity, please feel free to place your donation in the Poor Box.
Your continuing generosity to this shared mission is greatly ap-preciated.
In the last three months, we have assisted 185 needy families totaling 590 individuals in our parish community with $53,300 in basic rent and utility assistance. Eighty-eight families totaling 398 individuals have received 823 bags of food from our parish food pantry. SVdP contributions for this period was $38,000. Thank you, thank you, thank you. The St. Mark Conference Leadership would also like to humbly thank our untiring Client Advocates and Pantry workers who as-sist our neighbors weekly with home visits, emotional and spiri-tual support, and food. You continue the work of our Lord.

Rite of Christian Initiation (RCIA)
Are you interested in finding out more about the Catholic faith? Perhaps you’ve considered becoming Catholic and would like to find out more about the RCIA process. Maybe you were baptized Catholic, but have not received the Sacraments of Confirmation and/or First Communion. Our RCIA sessions for adults will begin on Sun. Aug. 23, with a “Come and See”, at 10AM, in the Upper Room #208, of the Smyth Pastoral Center. The “Come and See” is a won-derful opportunity to ask questions and to find out more about the RCIA process.
Each year our parish needs sponsor/companions for men and women who are interested in becoming Catholic. To find out more about this valuable ministry, call John Lemburg at 214-475-5416 or Debbie Betz at the Parish Office 972-423-4715. A sponsor train-ing/meeting will be scheduled in late August or early September for those interested in being sponsors.
