SCRIPTURE REFLECTIONS “Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna!” At each Mass we join in the same cry, proclaiming Jesus as the “one obedient unto death, even to death on the cross.” He, now our glorious Lord, shares his work with us when we take up the cross of our baptism and follow him on the way to glory. The man on the donkey leads us step by step through the gates of heaven into his paschal mystery. Follow him confidently, full of faith. Hosanna!

Hispanic Ministry in our Diocese.

DON’T FEED THE CATS Our grounds have been invaded by a bevy of cats

from next door( by count 9).

“Please do not feed them”.

HOLY WEEK REMINDERS Please check you schedule for more details, but everyone is reminded that there is no Mass on Thursday morning during Holy Week. That evening the Holy Thursday Mass

will begin at 6 p.m. as customary, the Mass will include a washing of parishioners feet. Please feel free to participate in this incredible experience. On Good

THE PASSING OF SEVERAL PARISHIONERS In the past week and a half, three of our

one of our homebound parishioners, died on March 22nd from natural causes and was

buried in Rhode Island.

Ed Peifer, husband of Judy, died Saturday a week ago. He participated in our Jail ministry with Fr. Boddie,

Bob O’Keefe, and Janine Jaboulay. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial

contributions can be made in Ed’s name for the Haiti project his niece and parishioner, Rebecca Riley is

participating in.

Pat Tyrrell, died in her sleep on Monday, March 26th, from cancer. She and Don joined the parish in 1993.

Contributions in her name may be made to the American Cancer Society.

THANK YOU A BIG thank you to the Knights of Columbus

for the extra baked goods sold after church on March 18th. The monies went to the Youth Haiti Trip

scheduled in June.

The Church of the Visitation has been blessed with two outstanding quilters that have shared and

donated their "time, talent and treasure” to make our front entrance tale welcoming. Julia Jensen and

Barbara Barnhardt have completed three table cloths for our use during the seasons of the year. All are

beautiful and lovely additions to the front entrance. Thank You from The Welcome Committee.

BISHOP DiLORENZO’S STATEMENT TO THE PARTICIPANTS IN THE MARCH 23, 2012 RALLY

The Diocese of Richmond deeply appreciates the efforts of so many women and men who have

joined together across denominational and religious lines to advance the cause of religious

liberty in our society. The Diocese stands united with the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, resolved

to work with all people of good will to preserve, protect, and promote the fundamental human right to the free

exercise of religion.

Be assured of our prayers and our support as we continue to defend the rights of citizens to freely

exercise their consciences, and the rights of religious institutions to exercise their ministries with fidelity to

their tradition.
