Dear Friends,

On behalf of the Christian Service Charities Board of Directors, I present our 2011 Annual Report. Beyond the routine of writing an Annual Report and providing financial information I am excited to share in this report our accomplishments and services to our members.

The CSC Board of Directors serves with faithful diligence in their work as a Board. I continue to say it is the best board that I have ever served. Throughout this year we as a board have adopted and implemented a governance process that assures greater accountability and transparency to all constituencies that we serve; donors, staff, and members.

We have welcomed new members and have seen our pledges increase. We have been careful and diligent in the use of funds and have reduced our expenses. As you review the list of members in this report you will notice that we continue to serve ‘charities that you know and trust.’

The Christian Service Charities Board of Directors has decided to move forward with purchasing office space in order to accommodate staff and reduce expenses on rent. I am sure you will hear more about this in the months to come. The CSC Board has determined our global ‘ends’ policy to provide clear direction to the federation and staff. CSC continues as the federation of choice for federal employees who are seeking a ministry to support through the Combined Federal Campaign.

We are thrilled to serve our members and the countless lives that are transformed through their work.

Sincerely,

Farrell J. ChilesPresident

Dear Friends,

I am excited to share the accomplishments of Christian Service Charities during fiscal 2011. We have sailed through the tumultuous times of the economy with the ongoing support of our members, donors and dedicated staff. As we look forward to the years ahead it is with confidence in the foundation that we have built in the past.

The staff of Christian Service Charities has answered the call to go the extra mile in supporting our members. The Regional Workshops and webinars have continued to excel in providing training and best of practice sharing for our members. CFRE (Certified Fund Raising Executive) has accredited our webinars for continuing education credits. This is a tribute to the quality and excellence of our training.

The advertising packages and kickoff event opportunities continue to provide outstanding exposure for our members to federal employees. We do all of this so that our member ministries receive the funding they need to accomplish the worldwide missions that God has called them to.

I receive many newsletters and reports from our members as they communicate the work they are accomplishing in the United States and around the world. The reports stir my passion and continue to excite me about what God is doing through Christian Service Charities and our members. It is all worth the efforts we expend. Praise the Lord.

As you read and review our 2011 Annual Report, join me in thanking God for what HE has done through all of our constituencies; donors, members, staff and board.

FINANCIALS

Fee sTRUCTUReThere is no application fee or up-front cost to members before campaign receipts are collected. CSC’s cost recovery practices are designed so that expenses based on a budget approved by the Board are shared proportionally by all member organizations. The member organization’s contribution towards cost recovery (‘Membership Fees’) is calculated based on the member organization’s gross pledges, subject to minimum and maximum fee limits. For the most recent campaign year, for which payments have been completed, average Membership Fees (excluding member charities subject to the minimum and maximum limits) was 6.46%. All federation services are inclusive with no other fees or charges from other entities.

A complete copy of our audited financial statements may be obtained by writing to: Christian Service Charities c/o Executive Director, 7620 Little River Turnpike, Suite 600, Annandale, VA 22003.
