Kindergarten technology
We used to watch Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood and Sesame Street in Kindergarten class. Our teacher used to wheel in the television set and we would all sit on the floor to watch.

High school technology
Every homeroom in high school had a set of 5-7 iMac computers. I distinctly remember that the matching keyboard, mouse and monitors. Does anyone remember the program named ClarisWorks? We would have to submit all our writing assignments as printed documents. No handwriting.

College technology
I received a scholarship and a Pell Grant, which helped me to fund my college tuition. I was also able to buy my first laptop—a Sony Vaio—that I could take with me to class. I also bought my first cell phone, which allowed me to contact classmates to arrange study groups.

A challenge for teaching
How can digital migrant teachers keep up with digital natives?
How do teachers remain relevant to younger generations that are quicker at adapting to technology.
Which should be the focus: Learning specific technology and platforms or learning technology strategies and frameworks?
