Chapter Hobby Blogs Blogs are great for people who are passionate about their hobbies. Simple blogging software makes it easier for folks to gather and share information and create communities. Blogs help people organize activities, share anecdotes and instruction, and connect with oth- ers who share their enthusiasms. We have broken down this chapter into general topics such as food, garden- ing, crafts, shopping/fashion, music, gaming, and books. Sports are covered in Chapter 5, “Sports Blogs.” Food—Consuming and Producing Food blogs are a mouthful. Some folks lovingly record the pleasures of the table, whereas others like to ferret out fine-dining experiences. Others, still, like to docu- ment their discoveries in the kitchen.
