Model AvailabilityYou must adhere to the following model requirements when building your Warband:

• 1 Leader model O• 1-10 non-Grot Core models • 0-20 Grot models S• 0-3 Special models

Models with the Grot keyword do not count towards your maximum availability for Core models – instead, they follow their own model availability. For all other intents and purposes, they are still treated as Core models.

AbilitiesThe following abilities are common to several Zharr units :

Ten Millenia of HateEach time a model with this special rule is destroyed, roll a die. On a 6+, do not remove the model from the battlefield immediately. Instead, after the enemy model has finished making all its attacks, return the model to 1 wound. Then, if the model is outside of engagement range of enemy units, it can shoot as if it were the Shooting phase. If it is within engagement range of enemy units, it can attack as if it were the Fight phase. Each model can only survive through this ability once per phase.

Slow and MethodicalA model with this ability suffers no penalty to its Hit rolls for moving and firing with Heavy weapons, but substracts 1 from the result of the die (to a minimum of 1) when making Advance moves.

Beneath Contempt• Friendly models without this ability can target enemy models that are within engagement range of friendly models with this ability and no other friendly models with ranged attacks. Each time you make a hit roll of 1 for such an attack, it is instead resolved against a friendly model that is within 1" of the target (your choice). For weapons for which hit rolls are automati-cally succesful, roll a D6 for each hit: on a 1-3, that hit is resolved against one of your models, and on a 4+ that hit is resolved against the target.

• When models from your Warband flee the battlefield, you cannot pick models without this ability to flee so long as there are any friendly models with this ability on the battlefield.

• Models with this ability do not count towards determining your Rout threshold.

• Models with this ability never cause Nerve tests for models without this ability.

DAEMONFORGE DISCIPLINE

D6 Psychic Power

1: Greensbane

Greensbane has a warp charge value of 5. If manifested, choose an enemy unit within 18" of the psyker. That unit suffers a mortal wound. If at least one model in that unit has the Ork keyword and does not have the Vehicle keyword, your opponent subtracts 1 from all hit rolls made for it until your next Psychic phase.

2: Magmic BoonMagmic Boon has a warp charge value of 6. If manifested, choose a friendly <Keep> unit within 12" of the Psyker. Until the start of your next Psychic phase, melee weapons used by the target have an AP characteristic of -5.

3: Volcanic Hammer

Volcanic Hammer has a warp charge value of 6. If manifested, draw a 18" line, 1mm in width, extending from the Psyker's base. Roll a die for each enemy model that the line passes over: on a 4+, that model's unit suffers 1 mortal wound. If a model that the line passes over has a Wounds characteristic of 9 or more, add 2 to the roll and its unit suffers D3 mortal wounds instead of 1.

4: Porphyric Curse

Porphyric Curse has a warp charge value of 7. If manifested, roll a die. On a 3+, the closest enemy unit within 12" of the Psyker suffers a mortal wound. If a mortal wound is inflicted this way, repeat this process, substracting 1 from the result of the die for each subsequent roll, until there are no enemy models within 12" of the Psyker or you fail to inflict a mortal wound.

5: Ash Storm

Ash Storm has a warp charge value of 7. If manifested, choose an enemy unit within 24" of the psyker. Until your next Psychic phase, that unit cannot Charge or Advance and your opponent must substract 1 from its Movement characteristic and all hit rolls made for it.

6: Pyrrhic Implosion

Pyrrhic Implosion has a warp charge value of 6. If manifested, choose a friendly model with the <Keep> and Infantry keywords within 18" of the Psyker. Distribute D3 mortal wounds as you wish amongst enemy units within 3" of that model, then destroy that model.

Daemonforge DisciplineBefore the battle, generate the Psychic Powers for Psyker models that can use powers from the Daemonforge Discipline using the table below. You can either roll a D6 to generate their powers randomly, or you can select the Psychic Powers you wish the Psyker to have.

Note that these Psychic Powers are worded using the general rules for all Psychic Powers, and therefore are further affected by the Heralds of Ruins rules regarding Psychic Powers.

ZHARR ARZOATH: BLESSING OF DARKFIRE

Add 1 to the AP characteristic of the ranged weapons of models with this trait if the target is within half-range (0 becomes -1, -1 becomes -2, etc). Additionally, models with this trait gain a 6+ invulnerable save.

ZHARR TRAGOTH:IRON DURESS

Models with this trait can attempt to deny one enemy psychic power per Psychic phase as if they were a Psyker. Additionally, add 1 to the Toughness characteristic of models with this trait from the fourth battle round onwards.

ZHARR HADREK:ABYSS RAIDERS

Friendly models with this trait that are more than 12" from enemy models receive the benefits of light cover. Additionally, you can re-roll failed hit rolls of 1 for models with this trait that are more than 12" from enemy models.

ZHARR TAZHAN:UNBOUND CRUELTY

You can re-roll failed hit rolls of 1 made for models with this trait in the Fight phase if the target has a lower Leadership than the attacker. If the attacking model's Leadership is at least double than that of the target, you can re-roll all failed hit rolls instead.

KEEP LEGACIESAll models in a Zharr Warband gain a Keep Legacy, so long as every model in your Warband is from the same Keep. The Keep Legacy gained depends upon the Keep they are from, as shown in the table below.

If your Zharr are not from any of the listed Keep, or if they do not otherwise have an associated legacy, use the legacy which you think will fit your Warband the most.

Slave FodderModels with the Grot keyword do not gain the benefits of Keep Legacies.

5PHILOSOPHIES

Lord of the Keep +5 CP. You cannot target friendly models other than your Leader with stratagems.

Shield of Green Flesh

Gain +1 CP for every five friendly Grot models that are destroyed during the battle.

Rage Against the Galaxy

Gain +2 CP the first time in the battle that you make a succesful Ten Millenia of Hate roll.

Stored Anger +3 CP. You cannot use stratagems until a friendly model has attacked with a melee weapon.

PHILOSOPHIESChaos Squat Warbands have access to exclusive Philosophies, as described below, in addition to the ones found in the Heralds of Ruin rulebook. You can pick one of these philosophies for your Warband instead of the ones presented in the main rules (remember that your Warband can only have one Philosophy).

STRATAGEMSDaemonkin of Malice Warbands have access to exclusive Stratagems, as described below, in addition to the ones found in the Herald of Ruin rulebook.

STRATAGEMS

Relentless March 1 CPUse this stratagem after a friendly non-Grot model completes an Advance move. That model can shoot with all types of weapons and suffers no penalty to its hit rolls in the following Shooting Phase.

Blood Grenade 1 CP

Use this stratagem when a friendly model throws a Krak Grenade. Roll a die instead of rolling to hit for the attack: on a 3+, the target of the attack suffers a mortal wound. On an unmodified roll of a 6, the target suffers D3 mortal wounds instead.

Darkness Envelops Me 1 CP

Use this stratagem when an enemy unit targets a friendly model within 3" of a friendly Daemonsmith model. Your opponent must substract 1 from hit rolls made for attacks that target that Daemonsmith model, or friendly models within 3" of it, until the end of the phase.

Zharr Engineering 1 CP

Use this stratagem when making an attack with a weapon that has a random number of shots. Roll twice and discard the lowest result when rolling to determine the number of shots that weapon makes.

Contempt for the Weak 1 CP Use this stratagem when you fail a Morale test. This turn, one friendly

model that would flee the battlefield does not flee instead.

Counterblow 1 CP

Use this stratagem after an enemy model completes a succesful charge move. One friendly model within 12" of that model can immediately attempt to charge that model as if it were your Charge phase. You can spend 2 CP instead of 1 when using this tactical action. If you do, up to D3 friendly models can attempt to charge instead.

Crush of Hooves 1 CPUse this stratagem after a friendly Ba'Hal model completes a charge move. Roll a die for each enemy model within engagement range of that model. On a 5+, the model being rolled for suffers a mortal wound.

Straight Through Hell 3 CP Use this stratagem before mkaing a Ten Millenia of Hate roll. That roll is

automatically succesful.

TACTICAL ACTIONS

Breathe Fire * CP

Zharr Arzoath stratagem. Use this stratagem at the start of your Shooting phase or at the start of the enemy Charge phase. Pick a friendly Zharr Arzoath model, except a Grot model, and spend 1, 2 or 3 CP. That model gains the following weapon, in addition to its other weapons, until the end of the battle:

• 1 CP: Hand Flamer.

• 2 CP: Flamer.

• 3 CP: Heavy Flamer.

This stratagem can only be used once per battle.

Cursed Touch 2 CP

Zharr Tragoth stratagem. Use this stratagem when a friendly Zharr Tragoth model, except a Grot model, attacks in the Fight phase. After that model has finished making all of its attacks, pick an enemy model that was hit, but not destroyed, by that model's attacks. It suffers a mortal wound.

Shadowcurrents 1 CP

Zharr Hadrek stratagem. Use this stratagem at the start of your Movement phase. Pick a friendly Zharr Hadrek model, except a Grot model, that is more than 12" away from enemy models. Move that model anywhere on the battlefield that is more than 12" away from enemy models. You can spend 2 CP instead of 1 when using this stratagem. If you do, you can pick and move D3 friendly models instead.

Merciless March 1 CP

Zharr Tazhan stratagem. Use this stratagem at the start of either player's Movement phase. Pick up to three enemy models that are within engagement range of friendly Zharr Tazhan models that are not Grot models. You can move each of these models up to D6" in any direction that ends up outside of engagement range of friendly models. Then move each friendly model that was within engagement range of an enemy model moved this way, and is no longer in engagement range with any enemy models, so they move the shortest distance possible and are within engagement range of at least one of the enemy models that were just moved and that they were within engagement range of before you used this stratagem.

KEEP-SPECIFIC STRATAGEMSChaos Squat warbands that are from a specific Stronghold have access to exclusive Stratagems, as described below, in addition to the ones found in the Heralds of Ruin rulebook.

INSPIRING PRESENCEWhen you pick the effect of your Inspiring Presence aura, Chaos Squat Leaders have access to the following choice in addition to the ones presented in the Heralds of Ruin rulebook.

INSPIRING PRESENCE

Slumbering Fire Once per turn, when making a Ten Millenia of Hate roll for a inspired model, you can add 1 to the roll.

To the Slaughter Ignore the first wound or mortal wound inflicted to an inspired model in each turn.

SECONDARY MISSIONS

Burn them AllAt the end of each of your turns, score 1 VP for each enemy model that lost one or more wounds because of attacks made with a Flamer weapon (any weapon with the word Flamer in its name) or by a K'Daai Fireborn.

As It Should BeAt the end of the battle, score 5 VP if more friendly Grot models were destroyed during this battle than friendly non-Grot models. Models that fled the battlefield are not counted.

Unstoppable Force

At the end of the battle, score 5 VP if no friendly models made a Fall Back move in that battle.

SECONDARY MISSIONSChaos Squat Warbands have access to exclusive Secondary Missions, as described below, in addition to the ones found in the Heralds of Ruin rulebook. You can pick these secondary missions for your Warband instead of the ones presented in the main rules.
